Hello all,
I work for a State Department of Transportation and found the Federal Highway Administration's Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices online today. If you're making a new puzzle piece or texturing avenues and wondering what a situation should look like, this will have it. I apologize to anyone who wants to look at this and doesn't understand English, its simply the way our government works.
Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (http://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/index.htm)
I hope this is helpful.
Cheers,
Kevin
Kevin-
Thanks for posting that link! Very helpful for us realism freaks. ;)

Haha! I get all my information from there. I should have thought of posting it. :)
As a retired traffic engineer, I might point out that the MUTCD is the "bible" for all TE departments in the US. Any of your local Public Works Departments will have hard copy, and most will sell to the public, as developers refer to the manual frequently. Oh, and failure to adhere to the standards could result in loss of Federal Highway Funds, (something we could not live without)
I have the most recent MUTCD stored in PDF on my computer. I also have the Standard Highway Signs (SHS) Book, which is a great resource as well.
And here's the UK version: TSRGD 2002 (Transport Signs Regulations and General Directions)

awesome BigSlark.
The Big Dig / Central Artery Tunnel BAT project is also fully compliant with almost all provisions of MUTCD in most of BAT's I model.
blahdy,
I have noticed that besides being structurally accurate that Big Dig is also striped accurately.
Keep up the good work and I cannot wait to see the next piece that is released.
Cheers,
Kevin
