Hello everybody!
My first post  :) - hope iam in the right place..
A lot of great bats are packed in to single DAT files (eg. from Porkissimo and Frogface) - using the LOT editor you can of course change the lot if you like - but then you will have two lots in the game - this really cludders the meny as you probably only are using the one LOT you made for yourselfe. I am somewhat (?) familiar with the reader - but not very experienced and I know (read it somewhere) that you are able to delete the one LOT from the DAT file - only then to keep the MODEL and DESC file.
Could someone please correct me to a tutorial on how to do this using the READER?
Or maby someone is so kind to explain (stepwise - as I am kind of an amature) on how you are able to do this.

I have done some searching on how to do this both here and over at simtropolis - but I have not been able to find a proper tutorial.

Any help is appriciated :)

Removing a lot from a dat.file is quite easy:

1. Open the dat.file in Reader.
2. Select the Lot exemplar file.
3. Remove it by right-clicking
4. Right-click on the left side of the screen and choose 'reindex'.
5. Right-click on the left side of the screen and choose 'rebuild directory'.
6. Save the dat.file.

Hope this works out for you.
