1. How do you delete props in LE? I accidentally put a parking garage on a lot where I don't need them and I need to delete them. I am just new at this and just installed it like two days ago.
2. How can you rotate props?
Deleting props can be done by selecting the blue box that represents it, and then pressing the "Delete" button on your keyboard. To rotate props, select the blue box and then press the Page-Up or Page-Down button. The LE comes with a fairly thorough manual by Maxis, which should be in your Program Files/Maxis/SimCity 4 directory (appropriately named "Lot Editor Manual") and contains a list of all keyboard operations :)

just in case it's relevant, or for others in the same situation as me that may come across this, for me pressing the delete key doesn't work. It frustrated me but I figured it was a bug and had to save my project before placing each item (and then reloading it if it wasn't what I was after). This was a pain in the a$$, especially when I was trying to lay out a complex garden. I am using a laptop and finally I figured out that if I held the function key and pressed delete that it worked. ;D
I hope this helps another frustrated person one day.
Oh and to rotate on a laptop you may have to press function & use the arrows.

you only need to use the function key if you're on a laptop. It is a button in the lower left of the keyboard called "fn"
