Welcome to my new MD! If anyone recalls, I had an MD for a few years by the name of "Take a Tour". Well, it got kinda disorganized after a while, more or less a mish-mash of random regions. So, I've come with a fresh start. ;)
- Some Info -
Well, the region that will be showcased in this MD has been ongoing for quite some time. A long time. A LONG LONG time. ::) Four years to be precise. ;D Over those four years, its been a constant work-in-progress. I've never deleted and started from scratch, but I remake one part of it at a time, eventually having remade the entire region to that standard, which is when I realize that it could be better, so I start the process over again. Lather, rinse, repeat. $%Grinno$% But this time I feel I've got the standard satisfactory for publishing, so here we are. :)
The updates should be around once weekly, sometimes more often, sometimes less. In any event, keep the comments coming- they're greatly appreciated. ;)
And without further adieu...

That wraps it up for the Intro, within a few days we'll have update one. Let me know what you think so far. :)
'till next time...

Interesting start, Travis.
I remember reading through Take A Tour. It was a lovely MD, sad to see it go. But, a new start is always good as well.
That, is also a huge city, strange for a mountainous area of Utah.
Ethan
Eager to see it ;D
so what kind of CJ will this be? a recreation? a fictitious city? the intro sounds great if somewhat vague XD
Well a region that has been through constant revisions sounds like it will be very interesting to see. I'm looking forward to the first pictures!
Nice start of your new MD, looking forward to more... ;)
Yeah, nice start!!! Great work!!!
Welcome back to MDing, Travis. Hope to see more soon... %wrd
nice start !
Looking forward to see what you do!
-Jordan
This is gonna be good.
Best of luck!
Update time!

- @Ethan: thanks! I agree about the odd location, but some of the greatest cities in the world were built in a less than favorable area. For example, Miami was a marsh, San Francisco was a Native American burial ground; and Dubai was a desert. So, you never know... $%Grinno$%
- @marsh: thank you. ^^
- @John (mightygoose): lol, perhaps my "realist backstory" was a little too realistic. :D Its a fictional city, but it borrows on historic patterns from nearby cities in the mountain west. ;)
- @battlecat: thanks. :)
- @bat: thank you.
- @Tomas: thanks. ;)
- @Casper: thanks for the welcome back. ^^
- @warconstruct: merci :)
- @Jordan: as am I ::)
- @Ryan: indeed, it will be, if I do say so myself. ;)
Now, before we get to the pix, a little "director's commentary" from your author. $%#Ninj2
Well, this region isn't anywhere near filled- I'm sort of playing it by ear, hopping around to the most completed areas. The general idea is to show the path of a normal tourist or businessperson, from landing at the airport, taking a taxi, bus or commuter train into the city, and so on.
I liked how these pix turned out, but photoshopping (as always with me ::) ) isn't finalized yet. Once I get settled and find a few good brushes and frames, we'll have even better presentation. but for now, I guess this will do. ;)
and now, the feature presentation... :P
Update 2Making a pass over the airport, the smaller of two major ones in the Metro area. (This being Brigham Young Int'l, the other, larger airport, Aberdeen-Green River Int'l)

After touching down, we pass the Southwest terminal on our way to our gate.

that's a wrap for our second update. Comments are encouraged. :)
You're off to a great start! &apls The last update is really cool, I especially like the way you've played with the angle of the pics!
Not a bad start. The adjustments to the pictures give them an interesting angle. However, the rotation of them (turned several degrees) seems a bit odd with the regular border. It was a bit distracting at times. However, it looks like you've done a good job putting together your airport. Any chance at seeing a full overview of it?
-Matt
Exciting! I will keep my eye on this one...
Very nice start Travis.
Good to see you around again, especially in the MD section.
Robin
That's a really nice airport! And good pics too.
Great start to your new MD.Your introduction was short and clear, and quite impressive to work on the same region for more than four years. Images from your airport are looking nice.
Fascinating start, nice looking airport. The picture modifications are quite eye catching.
Looking great Travis!
-Jordan
Great work here, Travis. Although I must say, that update was quite a tease. ;)
Jason
Very nice start! Your airport looks fantastic, if we could get an overview shot of it, it would be great.
Fantastic update again my friend!!!
These first pictures of your new MD are really great! Nice airport!
Looking forward to more... ;)
Awesome start there can't wait to see the airport in its entirety
Will
Wow! These pictures are beautiful. Your airport seems very nice and realistic. I look forward to seeing more. &apls &apls ;)
I really am liking this airport, Travis. You've certainly developed an interesting style of photoshopping and presenting your updates, yet I really like it.
