Title: Problem With Custom Texture Pack
Post by: woodb3kmaster on March 18, 2010, 02:34:08 PM
I recently made a series of lots using a set of textures I had previously made. They look fine in the LE, and a look at the lot exemplars in the Reader shows that they have the right textures assigned, but when I went to plop them in the game, this is what I got:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg11.imageshack.us%2Fimg11%2F8783%2Frptextureglitch.jpg&hash=21b7f95f20b2a1210de886ec6f1b6e15af56febe)

Just to clarify, this is NOT what any of these lots is supposed to look like (except for the MML). As you can see, all of my own textures have been replaced with the first texture in the set (i.e. the last one listed in the texture pack DAT). Why is this happening? If necessary, I can PM a link to a zipped copy of my lot series (with the texture pack included) to whoever wants to scrutinize these lots themselves.

Please reread this thread that is linked in the texture IID request thread:

You problem is to do with the wealth of the textures.

Ah, I see. I'll have to go back and edit the IIDs of my textures so that their fifth digit isn't 0-3, then. Thanks, Diggis!

EDIT: Or I could just change the lot's wealth level to match the texture IIDs...

No, as all the textures would be replaced by the one of that wealth... so 0 wealth could show a straight, 1 wealth show a 4 way... you get the idea.

I see, yes. Well, after a couple of hours spent changing the fifth digit of all my textures' IIDs to 4 and updating the TileDef properties for the lots' overlay textures in the Reader, I have managed to resolve this problem. Thanks once again for your help!
