Hi All, Is there a SC4PIM Support/Post thread? As impressive as the documentation is I would like to see what others have to say and/or how they are using this exciting tool. No doubt my own inquiries arising as well.
Thanks, Steve
There is whole forum devoted to SC4PIM or as it was originally title "The X_Tool (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?board=180.0)"
Thanks very much for the quick response. I didn't know the different name.
Thanks again, Steve
SC4PIM (PIMX) changed my life! It all started when I was 4 years old and... :D
No but seriously, it's a great tool which works much better than the original PIM. It's easy to use and very quick to learn. Another thing is that PIMX sets all building properties to a correct value so you can care less about wrong values that might unbalance your game. Something the original PIM didn't do. It's definitely worth downloading ;)
OK I have a quick PIM-X question and figure this is as good a place as any to ask it.
Is there a way within PIM to modify the Capacity Satisfied of an .sc4desc file or do I need to use Reader (my current method) for that?
Hi Sean,
You can change the Capacity Satisfied by changing the filling degree of the building. Right click on filling degree (or another property) and select 'Recompute properties'. You'll get a screen asking you for a number. Standard this is 0.5. The number represents the volume of your building compared to the volume of the yellow box around it. In the picture bellow this value should be around 0.8. After you changed the number your capacity and the other to the capacity related properties (like pollution, energy consumption etc) will be changed according to the filling degree.
