I've downloaded quite some bats now, but unlike the maxis buildings, they are not sorted on capacity or whatsoever..
So is it possible to re-sort the menu, and how?
Yes, it is possible and you can do that using the SC4 Tool [download link] (http://kurier.simcityplaza.de/details.php?file=315). Hope this helps you!
Thanks,
I already had sc4 tools installed and worked with the exemplar editor a bit.
I now found out that you can change the order by editing "Item order", that indeed seems to work fine.
But not all of my buildings contain the value 'item order', see: link (http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n189/tijmenamsing/Naamloos-3.png)
How do i set the item order for these buildings?
All plopable buildings should contain the Item Order property. If it's not there, then most likely the building you're looking at is a growable.
Buildings with the same Item Order number are (if I remember correctly) sorted by Plop Cost, so that the cheapest buildings are first in the menu. This applies to all plopable buildings, no matter which menu they're in.
that's strange, cause as you can see in the screenshot, the building i was lookin at is Goobergen urgent care ( http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=14798 ).
This is a plopable building. And also the other buidlings i was talking about without an item order are plopable.
SimGoober's medical buildings have all been updated and are on the LEX found here (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1384). And indeed, the updated GooberGen Urgent Care does have an Item Order (1).
great! thanks for that ;D
do you also have the health lots installed?
If so, looking at the specs, is there a diffirence between the retirement home and a normal hospital?
All of SG's health buildings have been updated with SC4PIM. I'm not quite sure what other differences you're looking for?
More like the purpose of the building, the name indicates that it's a retirement home.. but it doesn't really functions as one does it? If i renamed the the building to ' general hospital', it would be like any other hospital right?
Well, technically, yes. There are of course limits to what can be done within the game. Any medical facility serves all Sims within the defined radius, based on the Age vs Effectiveness property (educational buildings have this as well).
This property can be tweaked a bit, but I don't see a point in it. Truth of the matter is, these retirement homes provide just as big a health boost to the children and families of the elderly... but perhaps that's a little too deep for further discussion here.
