Title: Must-have BATs
Post by: canyonjumper on May 18, 2010, 04:48:44 PM
My plugins recently were sucked into a blackhole of data. I was wondering if you guys have any essential, must-have BATs or Lots that I could use in my CJs. Thanks all,

                              -Jordan

Pretty much anything by SimGoober or MattB would be close to the top of my list of recommended BATs.  Jestarr's industrial buildings are good, too.

JMyers Small Shops are an essential for me, as are CPs (Cycledogg aka Cyclepuppy) residentials. For waterfront lots, you might want to venture over to Simpeg.com and get all of Pegasus's OWW2 lots.

With so much custom content to choose from.

the question would be what sort of type of region are you looking to build, farmlands, middle city, megatropolis, and what type, Amercian, Asian European, South American  style ?

If you want to have any famrs at all ihaka ihaka's rural variety pack (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=1846) is a must have - since Dec 2003!

Pretty much all of SimGoober found its way to my pluginfolder as well as GasCooker, mattb, Jestarr.

Short of having a 6 gb Plugins folder, I think you have to decide on the type of region you're looking to build.

For high-rises.. Scotty222 has made a few of the buildings that reside in Vancouvers downtown core. I think he did the Bentall 3 & 4 buildings (Which are right by Burrard Station). Search Bentall on the STEX.

Also, I don't know if you've noticed that one of Choco's el-rail bridges is actually the Skybridge.. which spans your side of the river and mine.

I think maybe 4 of those signs actually point to something in Vancouver. The Hastings sign, North Vancouver, Downtown Eastside (Though... we don't point people there, it is the poorest area in North America afterall). The Vancouver Beach one doesn't as.. well.. there is no beach called that.

;) is that right... They're also SD & as far as signs go for me it's HD or the highway.
