Title: Monorail Cost
Post by: danielra96 on May 31, 2010, 08:00:08 PM
ever since I downloaded Haljackey's bullet train mod, the cost of my monorail has changed to 1000 simoleans per segment.
I have been wanting to change it back to 100 simoleans but I'm not sure how to change the price.
Is there any sort of tutorial for this?

You need to open the file Bullet Train Mod V2.dat in iLive's Reader.
Locate the internal file number 174, which is an Exemplar file.
Clicking on it, the content of it will appear to the right.
Check that the Exemplar Name property is "Shinkansen SlopeFix".

The 11th property shown is called Simolean Cost Per Tile.
It is now set to 0x000003E8, which is hexadecimal for 1000.

Double-click on that property, and enter 100 (from your keyboard), and press <ENTER>.
The value of the property now changes to 0x00000064, which is hexdecimal for 100.
Press <ENTER> another time to close the window, save the dat file and you're done.

how do you change the monthly cost of the bullet train tile?

That is contained in the property Monthly cost for network tile, which is in the Traffic Simulator.
If you've got NAM, you need to locate the Traffic Plugin that you've got installed.
That's a dat file with a filename starting with NetworkAddonMod_Traffic_Plugin_...

Once you've opened it in Reader, click on the only Exemplar File included,
and locate the property to the right. It should be the 28th one.

That property has 13 values (double-click to edit the property and you will see all 13 values).
There's one value for each available network type, in the following order:

Thus, be sure to edit the 10th value, which is for monorail (and bullet train).
