Hi all. My question is simple. How do I reduce the monthly cost for a custom lot? I have tried editing this property in the LEProp program by setting the monthly cost to 0 after lot creation, but the game will still display it. I use my custom lots extensively when I play, and it is costing me a fortune. I've also browsed the properties in the Reader for all of my custom content, but didn't find anything related to monthly cost. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Memory serve me correctly you need to edit two:
"Budget Item: costs" and "catalog month cost"
building funding and radius funding.
Editing monthly cost to zero may cause issues with monthly cost of other like lots types if the have sliderbar funding, I don't recomend it. Set the cost to a low number, 2,4, 10 something like that so there is a a budget you can set, even if it's 1,2,3,4 sliderbar.
Also making lots of this type make a new lot file up don't overwrite the original, specially if you used the lot in a city or regions before. Make a clone give it a new name Acme whatever. editing stats on plopables after they been placed is a major CTD issue.
Thanks for the info. I think I'll use Reader from now on when I'm configuring my lots.
