Can somebody help please, when I lay any type or rail, it takes ages for the game to complete the piece laid, I then have no trains, el trains or trams running also applies to monorail. The underground rail pieces also take a long time to complete when laid. Also when I put in a station this takes ages too, last thing when I cross 2 avenues the game takes forever to complete the section.

I'm guessing you have a version of the game in which the vehicles drive on the left by default? If so, it's likely you didn't install the Left Hand Drive files when you installed the NAM. The side-effect of this is completely non-functioning Rail networks. Install the LHD Plugin and you should find those networks are working again.
