the last 12 lots i created there are 0 props in the lot when playing the game.. they are there when opened back up in lot editor... it doesn't matter how many props in the lot (my lots have 1 - 15 props) preview is set to true, max fire stage set to 5, and prop wealth is set to high (on all props)... they aren't there in preview, and they aren't there when plopped either.. PLEASE HELP!!
Check to make sure your "city detail" is set to high.
what is "city detail"? and why isn't it working when it did before? and how do i change city detail
It is one of the display options in-game.

If you've recently updated the game (any of the official updates),
Maxis for some reason decided that those updates would make the game so slow,
that they saw it necessary to automatically reduce the city details to low...
I just checked, it's already set to high... so there is something else wrong
UPDATED:UPDATED:UDPATED: just discovered that props won't work at the farthest away zoom... if i zoom in it is just fine... so how do i fix this farthest zoom bug, it just won't show until i zoom in at least once... how do i fix it so it will show up the farthest away zoom
Not all props are designed to show at all zoom levels. There seems to be a point where the Xtool and the Maxis PIM automatically decides when a prop is to be displayed at all or only the three closest zooms.
A good example is this stump I made. It's a small prop. Note that the appearancezoomflag is set to display the item at only zoom 3,4, and 5.
You'll need to check the props in question using the iLive reader or the XTool and make adjustments as needed.
