Hi all,
Does anyone know what happened to CP_TerrainTextures_No1.dat? It is a dependency for the various snow lines of the Columbus terrain mod. Are the textures in No_3&4 the same textures with their Id's changed? Over at the STEX I am getting no results for the author c.p.
-Thanks.
See my reply in your other thread. (Link removed, as it's a private board)
Andreas, your link takes me to a page saying the board is not found or I do not have permission to view it

You need special things to see that page.
I guess my question rephrased is: Can you get Columbus Terrain Mod (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=169) to work without crashing at higher altitudes?
Textures No1 was changed to No3&4, but it appears that the texture's IDs had been changed too. The Columbus mods on the LEX don't appear to have changed with them.

There was a post over on ST about a similar issue, how the STEX didn't seem to have the "most recent" iteration of the "Columbus" terrain mod, either. I was pretty sure both of c.p.'s dats 1 & 2 had been rolled over into/included in 3 & 4 and so 1 & 2 are now out-dated and will not work with the rest5 of the mod, but I didn't know the texture IDs had changed when the mod was updated OR that the LEX files for this mod were not also updated.
I think this brings up a semi-permanent issue with any/all of the various file exchanges, the LEX included, as I believe it's up to the author of the download to keep the file descriptions, the files, and the dependency lists/links current. Some authors do, some don't, some try but RL gets in the way of playtime. I have no suggestions for how this ongoing problem could be fixed. I have a working copy of "Columbus", both terrain mod and tree controller, and all required dependencies, on my hard drive, so if you like I could try to package them up and email them to you.

Thanks, I should have updated this post. I just didn't have the rock textures installed &mmm. What confused me most is that the Columbus mod uses textures such as 0x36. These popped out as me as not being in 3 or 4. Well, they are in Maxis...
