I've been a longtime SC4 player (yet new to these forums), although I still haven't added new custum content. I'm playing SC4 and I have a decomissioned landfill that was in the process of dissapearing. I dezoned the tiles w/o trash, while still leaving those with. But now the landfill won't dissapear, despite other landfills in the city working normally. I tried building another landfill next to this space , then removed the roads but nothing happened. Are there any tools or anything I can use to remove it? It's really bugging me because it's a rather large city, and i've worked hard to make it.
The first question would be have you waited the full length of time (I think it's 20-50 game years or something like that)? If not, then just keep waiting as it may not fully have decomposed by that point. Give it some more time. You could also reconnect the road, get an incinerator or some other processing facility that will create an active removal of garbage. Bottom line, check your garbage graph and see how much garbage is still around in the area. If that's the cause, just wait a bit longer.
Also, I suggest looking here (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=9767.msg298839#msg298839). Cogeo's post offers some better insight into things, plus a nifty little tool that could help.
Yeah I had played around 40 game years and nothing. I even had a few landfills come and go before that one budge. But the mod fixed it. It probably was the landfill glitch. Thanks
