So, if I read it right, he downloaded all the dependencies for the SNM set, but his medium barracks lacks the building. From what I recall installing the set, the building should be included in one of the mega packs in there. Double check to make sure all of the dependencies are installed. It's easy to overlook one with that set; it's a long list. Otherwise, as I recall it's part of a european set. I think SFBT may have done it, if not Deadwoods. Not sure there though. Hope that helps some.

Thanks Matt. I have provided trolleyman515 with a link to this thread so he can see the comments and provide more information if it's needed.

It's here, on the STEX. (http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/13354-kleine-mietshaeuser-pack/)

I found it by searching "Kleine Mietshaeuser Pack", which is listed in the Readme. Searching Bramfield Haus didn't show anything at all.

()what() ok got new issue my hsr and rh starter pieces got red arrow cant lay hsr but can lay two lane rh but none of the other pieces ive checked and have the current files and ran cleanitol on nam and rh not missing any dependicies or anything what am i doing wrong or what mod have i got that might cause this issue and where do i look for the file causing issue ...  :angrymore:

It might not be a file causing the issue, make sure you are placing the starter pieces on level ground, and in a place where there is no water and no civic buildings to block its way.

Trolleyman, a couple of things.
About picture capture. SC4 allows you to take pictures with the buttons: ctrl-shift-s. I only get this to work sometimes. To access the pictures, you navigate to your documents folder, then the simcity 4 folder, then albums, then a folder named of the city you last took the picture in.

The pictures then have to be uploaded to a website like picvalley.net and then you can share your pictures of your issues here. To do so, you copy the link of the picture, click on the insert image button under the italic icon, and then between the two img /img brackets, place the link of the image url you just copied right there.

Now, I will make an attempt to diagnose your plugins, since I have not actually seen your system contents. There is a chance the reason your hsr is red is because a NAM controller conflict-ion. Two NAM controllers will cancel things out. Not having one NAM controller at all will not allow additional networks to appear. My previous experience with NAM and datpacker have not been too compatible with each other.  I am assuming you acquired the most recent Network Addon Mod with Essentials. I know its all a bunch of dat files when it comes to network configuration in SC4. To be safe I will say if you find something called ANT additional network tool, consider taking that out. Also, there should not be old Rural Highway folder or files in your plugins.

is that a snow mod?
Do you have all files in your plugin folder?
one more option is that you have two different NAMs installed.
Where did you download the NAM? Is this the first time you downloaded the NAM?

One thing I can suggest trying (which could save a fair bit of time) is to try removing all of your plugins except the files you're trying to get to work and see if it works. That'll quickly determine if it's a conflict with other files or something in the setup.

Trolleyman, I would of replied sooner, had I been able to connect, but I have done that type of thing what the 3 Stooges said. However, when loading existing cities that are built up, I do not advise saving in that region for testing purposes.

For future reference, when you want to do
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.picvalley.net%2Fu%2F2403%2F5718777492016089614130817362288AExhumDvcPOnlXoWQ0.JPG&hash=ebfc3fbc25c4c09b47a576c96fbc2ed15f7c5c2e)
this, get rid of the words: v.php?p=

I got some questions for you, but can not advise a course of action. Whats in that center turn lane folder? I also noticed you have a euro texture mod, and a different texture mod, I thought I saw some T21 folder. Your icons in-game do not appear to duplicate. I think we can rule out the same file repeated, it may be an older one tucked away. Again, the only real thing you can do is what 3 Stooges said. Dat files is really your only concern.

Oh, okay, I think those should be okay, as they are just cosmetic. The only other thing from what I can see is to look where SC4 is installed, and make sure there are no duplicate NAM files in thsoe plugins folder.

i looked in my C:program files in maxis and in simcity4 and in plugins no nam files in there only thing i got in transportation type is bridge hieght low&suspen.dat file i also have the Somcity 4 extra Cheat in there THL_Depth_Undergr .dat file then i got the landmarks in there  ()what() so fustrated cause no got issue with it CTD if i zoom in or left click to move screen can i move my plugin folder to another loct. delete simcity then reinstall then add plugins back one at a time i'm using a dell with intel(r) Celeron(r) CPU 420@1.60GHz  1.60GHz 2.00Gb (RAM) 32-bit Operating Sys. besides getting a better system i'm lost

You can do that.

The NAM should be in your documents/sc4/plugins
not programfiles/maxis etc.

Post by: j-dub on June 22, 2011, 01:48:13 PM
Full re-install takes a lot of time. Furthering what MTG said, I am wondering if that bridge height file was a prime example of transportation conflict not getting along with the NAM bridge control system. However, any Maxis installed landmarks you should not mess around with. When the game does not find something it needs in terms of the SC4 install directory.

Is your computer a laptop? My laptop (which I use at work) has Simcity on it (hotel room entertainment when traveling). It's a Dell, w/intel CPU @ 1.66, and 1G of ram. Sure it runs Simcity. Barely. So I maintain a very skimpy plugin folder. My desktop is more capable and the game runs smooth with large a plugin folder. Also - a good video card will make a big difference too.

Obviously it's your computer and you know what you've done/installed/etc and I don't. It seems to me that starting fresh is a good idea. Then add things back in according to the order of importance to you slowly. Until you notice performance problems. And go from there.

Good Luck

- Jim

BTW - you don't have to answer the 'laptop' question. the point I'm making is that I have a computer that is similar and I'm not surprised that you're having some difficulty.
