Hi there!
I recently started downloading and installing CAM files, and I noticed there's a huge amount of dependancies. So far, I've been constantly downloading and installing seperate files for the last 2 hours, and I was just wondering wether there was an easier way?
Thanks! BTW, I'm using the residencial starter pack.
Unfortunatley there is not really an easier way.
But as you get going you should find that you start to have most of the dependencies more often than not......except in the case of the models.
Trust me though, when I say it is worth it in the end. I am now CAM converted and will never go back. ;)

There is. Get the Industrial CAM lots. Those are the buildings that will show up first in your game. That will take an evening for sure.
I then played the game as usual. I downloaded some Stage 9 and 10 buildings when I saw the first stage 8 building pop up. Then downloaded some stage 11 and 12 lots when the stage 10's started to show up. Basically, broke the chore into smaller manageable chunks.
I eventually installed the starter pack. But didn't get the dependencies until I saw my first box grow. I have a pencil and paper by my side. Write the name of the building down. Continue to play or save the game and exit. Go after the dependency before I played the game the next evening. Presto, the box is gone. Use this thread to find missing dependencies. I've always found what I need. http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=2039.0 (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=2039.0)
