Hi, I just statred BATing, and since it looks that I finished my first building in gmax, I now have to create a LOT. That for I will need props of the different kinds, like flora, .... that will be used to "pep up" the lot. Now, I do have tons of prop packs already in my plugins folder, but what I would need is a list which prop pack contains what. Is there something like that around somewhere? Like, how should I know in which prop pack to look for e.g. bushes, or a wheelbarrow, or .... %confuso %confuso %confuso
There is no list really, unless it came with the prop pack you downloaded, which is still very rare. The only thing I can tell you is that it is really takes some practise and a lot of memory.
I have started my own list of the number of the prop and a short description. I know that Badsim (Cedric) took pictures of the props for himself to better remember what he had in his pluggins. Alot of work but if you plan to be a LOTter than it would be worth it in the end.
Sorry that this doesn't really help you, but it is the facts.

Not to say that I'm utterly surprised ... :P but it was worth a try .. hope dies last &mmm
Use ilive's Prop Viewer. (http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/21354-ilive-propviewer-0-1/)
It will make a database of the prop packs you specify so that you can browse the contents of each pack by name while using Lot Editor.
Yep, thank's, already stumbled over the PropViewer and downloaded it ..
