Title: Making Ploppable Water
Post by: tkirch on May 31, 2007, 03:21:02 PM
I am trying to make a new ploppable water texture.  Thanks to jeronji's tutorial I can make it mayor mode ploppable.  The problem I have is how do I make a bitmap I have of the water to be able to use it.

I have opened the Edmonton Water Ploppable and by changing the instances I can make it my own.  But I want to place a new texture in and am totally lost as to what to do next.  I can't even figure out, how do you even open a model or desc file to place a new texture in.

You should try to make your own textured model. Changing a model's textures using the Reader is not an easy task  $%Grinno$%

There is a GMAX model available at the STEX. You just have to load it into the GMAX, apply your texture, render it, and create a prop using the rendered model ( with Plugin Manager)

I hope this helps  ;D
