HI Gangz,
First post - and my 2nd day using CAM and NAM, been playing vanilla rush hour for a few years (on/off).
First of all thank you for the mod, it's taking the game to the next step. I can now understand why my vanilla rush hour cities can't grow beyond certain point - hate so much those 'No Job' signs even there are jobs around with good mass transit.
A couple of things I have notice so far with CAM mods:
- the game seems to be much easier with CAM even I use 'hard' difficulty. the reason I say this is mainly the income/expense ratio with CAM seems to much easier to maintain in surplus than negative income. I tend to do mass transit from the beginning as soon as I can afford it and no hesitation to 'invest' in my cities, i.e. ordinances, policy, minimal polution, educations, hospitals etc - even this yields to $1 profit per month.
Now using the method above, I seem to get my city to grow very quickly in MUCH MUCH income surplus every month. Somehow I feel I have lost the challenge here?
Mods i have installed:
- CAM
- Brenda Monorail
- Giant hospital SOMY
- Landmark MODS
- NAM
- Opera House Fix
- RTMTV3
- Industry quadrupple
I'm not sure about the giant hospital - did research and I found from everyone feedbacks this hosopital is the closest to original hospital with high capacity for big cities. The only reason I look for an alternative hospital is because using standard hospital consumes all the space when my city gets bigger.
oh one more question please - does anyone know a trick to delete small buildings parks located in between high rise buildings?
Thanks!
You shouldn't have the industry quadrupler if you're running CAM.
Might want to cut out of the Landmark MODS, too. CAM changes several landmarks to be growable.
To delete small lots between your highrises, select zones in the data view.
