Title: Region 1 update didn't update

Hello all,

I did an update on my game and it said something about "update complete" and to check the following files.  I did but my numbers don't match with what it should be, so obviously it didn't update.  I don't know what else to do.  Should I use the different region updates?  I used region 1 since I'm here in Canada and bought the game here.

SimCity 4.exe should be updated to version 1.1.638.0. File size should be 8,407,514 (Deluxe) or 8,407,542 (Rush Hour)  I only have 7,524,352 kb

Graphics Rules.sgr should be updated to 20,171 bytes  I only have 20 kb

SimCity 1.dat should be updated to 144,596,245 bytes  I only have 141,201 kb

SimCity 2.dat should be updated to 168,588,181 bytes  I only have 164,637 kb

SimCity 3.dat should be updated to 115,117,583 bytes  I only have 112,420 kb

SimCity 4.dat should be updated to 125,624,858 bytes  I only have 122,681 kb

Well, the values are correct. All SimCity4 DAT-files are correct, since 1 kb = 1024 bytes, and not 1000. This explains the small shift in values. If you use a calculator to convert kilobytes into bytes, you see that the values are actually pretty close...

I know it's not updated because the night lights for the custom bats are not working after doing the update for that bat. When I tried to find out why the lights are not working, that's when I found out the region update didn't really update after all.

Any other options/suggestions?

There is a second update for BAT nightlights. This update will update your game to version 1.1.640.0, which can be found here (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?page=14)

I did already but the night lights still won't work that's why I started checking why it wasn't working.  The only thing I could find was the mismatched kb files for the region 1 updates.

Any other options?

There's a certain order to follow for the updates, it took me around 4/5 attempts to get everything working. The procudere is described on the German SimCityPlaza (http://www.simcityplaza.de/simcity4-mainmenu-26-topmenu/tippsatricks-mainmenu-85/tipps-mainmenu-60/534-deinstallinstall.html) which also hosts all the necesary files.
