Hello guys,
I want a little help with this two packs. I installed on my comp in the plugin folder, I can see the dat files. I start the game, but the buildings, zones are standard, so there must be other things to do to see the new zones? Is there any to do with the *.dat files?
Thank you for the answers!

If you only have installed BSC Essentials and Texture Pack you will not see any change in the game, because these files are only dependencies on other files.
You have to install residencials, comercials, industrials, landmarks,... to see something in the game ;)
And can you give me an advice which lot packs are the best? There are so much such of things.
Is difficult to give an advice because it depends on the kind of city you want to build ( European, north-american, south-american, Asian,...).
You can build from large metropolis with skyscrapers and suburbs to small agricultural villages. Or focus on the roads, rail and highways, or create natural scenes, or combine several things. You have to download what interest you most.
The only mod that is practically essential is the NAM (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=851) that adds much stuff to the networks.

Hello guys,
I want a little help with this two packs...
What you did was click on the 'most popular' button and discovered that the most downloaded items were dependency packs.
The left hand margin of the LEX has a of search window. A pop down menu will appear when you click on it. Select a something like 'residential small'. You will have 12 or so pages of game assets to choose from. Look at the pictures and find a half dozen that appeal to you, then download. Search again for 'commercial small' and repeat.
Keep your selection groups small. Break your download sessions into smaller more manageable tasks. You will have to read the read me's and gather some of the dependency packs. You already have BSC essentials, and BSC textures so you'll not need to download them again. The LEX has a feature when you click to download. It will say something like "you have already downloaded this 1 times" or words to that affect. That is a big help and you will not have to question whether you've downloaded something already.
Good Luck ..

You might also like LEX Downloader (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=841). With this program you can add a bunch of stuff to the list, and then download them all at the same time.
