ImageShack has resized a lot of old images. Especially larger images like mosaics from my and other MDs. I doubt that, but does any one know if ImageShack has a possibility to restore them to old size?
What image hosters do you use for your images? Are they for free?
Would recomment photobucket.com (http://photobucket.com/) for pictures with a width smaller than 2048 px.

Free accounts include:
Unlimited* storage for photos.
Up to 500 videos permitted with up to 10 minutes in length per video.
Maximum display size of photos is 2048x1536 pixels each.
Maximum file size permitted is 1MB per photo and 500MB per video.
The pure awesomeness of the Photobucket experience!
*Photobucket reserves the right to limit excessive use and the unlimited storage offer pertains to non-commercial use only.
It is correct that images on imageshack can be resized by the time and they can even be deleted when passing the limit.
I use Majhost (http://www.majhost.com/) and so do some others on this site. It works a little bit the same as Photobucket, but it is easier to get the link in my opinion.
I don't use Imageshack anymore, since I kept getting problems with that site ...
I have switched to imgur as photobucket used to resize all my images to 1024x768 or 768x1024 depending on the orientation.
I used photobucket forever--and they're not bad (yet). But I started using Majhost a couple weeks ago and I love it, especially for larger images. Saves me a lot of time and makes panorama pictures possible. No bulk uploader I'm aware of though :/
majhost does support ZIP uploads without directory support. Not perfect, but at least you can do it a folder at a time.
Yes I am quite upset Imageshack has deleted many of my photos and resized several others. Now 'click for full resolution' does nothing at all. :(
I don't like photobucket due to their bandwidth issues. I made 6 accounts with them to try and spread the usage over multiple accounts, but it still happens on some of them by month's end. (I gave up after 6 accounts.)
Flickr is good, but they only have 200 images for free accounts.
Webshots deleted nearly all of my photos after 1 year.
Majhost is good, but you can only upload one file at a time and it is somewhat difficult to find your files.
Imgur seems like the place for me. No limit or size restrictions. Easy to use.
I go between Imgur and Majhost myself nowadays. I was an Imageshack diehard for quite some time, but that site has gone way downhill in the past few months. I would advise that everyone stay away from it.

Never trust any of those free image hosters. Once they have reached a critical mass of uploaded pictures, they will do the same as imageshack.
Did anyone really think, imageshack would be free forever? Come on, storage space and bandwidth cost money and imageshack did not even have ads for income. And I can't even blame them. Imageshack is no charity organisation, nor are any of the other imagehosters.
Also, always check the Terms and Conditions. Some imagehosters are trying to take the copyright for uploaded pictures away from you.
Always keep local copys of your files. Never trust the cloud. %wrd

Yes, I have backups, but uploading everything again and replacing links is a lot of work.
Thanks for your tips I will test some.
