I have a building growing in my cities called : TFI Photocopiers. The problem is I seem to be missing a dependency as there is a large brown box when it grows. The bigger problem is that I can't remember exactly where I picked it up, nor can I find the files in my plugins folder to remove it. (though I'd rather find the missing dependency and keep it).
I've searched the LEX, PLEX and STEX and can't find it, so...does anybody have any clue where I might have picked this BAT up? OR at least what file I need to try and find to locate it in my plugins folder.
Heya! That's one of my buildings :) I think you need this dependency: BSC BAT Props - T1 Vol4 (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1931)
Enjoy ;)
Maybe you can locate it with the help of Lot Editor and possibly the Extra Cheats DLL.
Is the main building partly visible? If so, post a pic, and some members here may be able to recognise or find it. Also can you see the prop's name (when you hover the brown box)?
Getting brown boxes rather means a badly installed or old version of a prop-pack; as both the prop exemplar and the model are included in the very same datfile, getting a brown box is impossible with the megapacks released in the recent years, you either see the prop normally or you lose it completely (if you haven't installed the prop-pack). You may need to install the newer version of certain prop-packs (and run Cleanitol to remove all old junk).
EDIT: Emmm, tag was faster...

Hey thanks tag_one. TBH I had a feeling it was one of yours, but I wasn't certain. Now that I have the dependency I can let it grow.
Not quite sure how I missed the dependency, but then it is me we're talking about... ;)
@ cogeo: I think the problem is that I had to reinstall to a new computer after my old one was taken out by lightning. During the transfer I got a couple of errors about 'filename too long' so its possible it got corrupted during the transfer. I'm sure I'm going to find other little errors (brown boxes) that just haven't cropped up yet. Needless to say, I now unplug the computer completely from the power and internet during lightning storms (the strike came through my cable modem).
