Hi.. right now I'm building a NYC style city and I noticed that the streets ther in New york are full of trees in the sidewalk..
i wonder if i can find tree lined sidewalks for roads, OWR, avenues and streets.
it will be great if there are sidewalks like that for NWM
thank you...
We need that and also cars parked on the side on the road with the trees, that will make things better. You can call it a Urban roadside Mod, but there's no such thing right at the moment. VIP cars and Girafe Trees in it, it will make any city grander than before
There is such a mod: the SFBT Street Tree mod (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1196) puts trees and parked cars along the side of all roads.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it isn't seasonal. Street tree mods are the only thing now, with the recent release of the Maxis Seasonal Lots, that aren't seasonal. But that may change, once I get motivated... ;)

I think
jeronij has one too, the one I am using. Can't remember what it is called, but surely it must be on the BSC File Exchange.
But I think what
hagui8 mentioned is
Roads and Avenues also, and I don't think such a mod exists. I even wonder if it is possible.....???
Btw, my "street trees" are seasonal.... ;)
Fred
The SFBT mod does include roads and OWRs. I forgot that it didn't include avenues. It would certainly be possible to add trees to avenues. You can put anything you want along the side of any network with a T21 mod.
Anyway Fred, do share: did you find a seasonal tree mod, or alter one yourself? If it's that Japanese one with the funky sidewalks and powerlines, I've already decided I don't like that one.

I wish I could help you more, but I have no souvenir what the seasonable mod is or where it came from. I have it since years and believe me, with probably the biggest Pluginsfolder around (12.7 Gb's at the moment) it is impossible to find it.
I know my trees are seasonable, they loose their leaves in the fall and look totally bare in the winter and no, it is NOT that strange looking asian mod.
I never knew that the SFBT include the roads and one ways also......sorry, I couldn't be of more help.
Fred
I will certainly keep a close eye on this subject and when or if I find the mod, I will let you know.

If you have a PC, you can always just use the search bar. Can't remember if this applies to other systems...I live in a Windows world $%Grinno$%
But this is why my plugins folder looks like this:

Thanks for trying to help anyway.
thank you for your help.. Aaron graham, Indiana Joe and Fred
I'll try to find these mods and probably wait for the tree/parking mod...
are there any mods like this for nwm??
thanks
sorry for my bad english
This mod works for OWR-1
http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/27444-street-trees-for-nwm-owr-1/
and this one works for MAVE-4
http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/25797-street-side-mod-for-mave-4/
thank you very much!! RepublicMaster!!
In case anyone is interested I am actually (as we type) making a seasonal street tree mod using VIP/CP seasonal flora. I made a seasonal street tree mod a year ago for personal use but I'm working on something for release right now.
Now it probably won't be exactly what you want - which is to say it's not intended to be an "urban" street-side mod w/busy parking activity. But if you want to use it or alter it and add some more urban props...
The intent of the mod is to be a total Flora replacement for Alpine settings; a companion to the BOTM. It will have a GM brush, a new brush pattern that doesn't plop random trees away from the tree-line, a MAXIS flora/prop replacement for ALL trees and shrubs. And the street tree mod. The street-side props will be more European though, so might not work for a North American metropolis.
Thank you Gobias
ill wait for its release
those mods sorts are the small things that changes your whole city to totally other one.

Thanks for the idea, but my folders are quite organized as the pic below shows, but still, I have more than 140 000 files to go through and that could take some time....
Yes, I have Windows (XP) and searching is not a good idea neither, especially when you don't know how the file is called. I have hundreds of modfiles that are simply named with letters and numbers...... %confuso
I
will have a look though, when I have the time , and go slowly through my "mass" of files.
This is a Plugins (the biggest of them all) which I play with at the moment and I have more than 20 Plugins in all, totalling some 25 to 28 Gb's.

....and here is a sample of what a Plugins look like.....

Searching in there when one does not exactly know a name or something may need a lot of time... ;)
Fred
PS.: I wonder....could it be that I have
jeronij's streetmod (I don't know why, but that's what I always have in mind) with another mod that is just a mod to make these trees seasonable? That is what I think..... &idea

crimsondesigns, please note that you can upload to the LEX without scrutineering now. It will be marked as not certified until you earn certification.

Just wondering if this has ever been released. I have been searching for a seasonal street mod for such a long time.
I don't think it was, but I suspect I have found the mod mrbisonm references having:
http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/15064-porkissimo-seasonal-street-flora-mod/
No idea if it still works...its from 2006.
edit:
it could also be this one:
