Title: dependencies

what is a dependeny and what has it to do with sc4.?

Dependecies are files that contain props, texture or whatever. When a LOTer uses some props (e.g. trees) you need to download the file containing this prop as well. Else you'll get a brown box instead. I hope that was easy to understand.

A dependency is something that is on a lot and is not included in the upload. For example if I make a lot with one of Dusktrooper's buildings I cannot include his model in with my lot so his original upload is a dependency for my lot. It also applies to the many small props added to lots as they are usually found in prop packs to save downloading the same thing every time it is used.
