Title: mmp problem
Post by: samu64 on January 28, 2015, 06:28:36 AM
Hello everyone .
Lately I have been using Reader to create some mmp from CP Prop pack vol. 02
I did about 7 mmp and seem to work, but it often happens that when I plop them Sim City crashes ... I do not understand why it happens
If you want to put the attachment of a model.
I remind you that this does not happen always but often.

First, are you aware most of the flora in CPvol2 has already been turned into a MMP? Either by CP, Kergelen or NBVC (iirc). In other words, whatever you want as MMP changes are it already exists.

Second by crash, do you mean a proper CTD or that the game becomes unresponsive? If it's the latter it might be related to the Cluster ID. Specifically note it's not possible to 'loop', the last item must be devoid of the property.

3.This mod I made based on that of Kergelen, In fact I had noticed this "Flora Cluster ID" and not knowing what it was I left with the same istanaza of mmp (my staff in 1916 ****)

So if I understand correctly you changed the exemplar IDs but not the Cluster ID? If so that might be the cause of the crash. The Cluster ID links the MMP together by means of the ID of the next item. Say for example the MMP has 3 items, the IDs and Cluster IDs would be:

Item 1 = ID 19160001, Cluster ID 19160002
Item 2 = ID 19160002, Cluster ID 19160003
Item 3 = ID 19160003

Also note that you need to change the actual TGI of the exemplar file so the Instance ID matches the Exemplar ID property, you can do this with the TGI editor found in the tools menu. See attached pic: in red the IDs of the first item, in blue the IDs of the second item.

Yep. You need to remove it, actually.

Also, a 'one click' mmp doesn't seem comfortable to me even if it's just one type of tree. I always like to be able to click around a bit, if only to get the orientation right, but that's personal preference I guess.
