Title: When looking for dependencies
Post by: evarburg on March 26, 2016, 11:02:21 AM
Not a question but a commentary and heads-up for gamers relatively new to SC4. You now have far better and numerous resources than we old...  hands had when we began playing with custom content. I can't recommend highly enough the City Builders website indexes

https://city-builders.info/cb-documents/11-catalog-by-website (https://city-builders.info/cb-documents/11-catalog-by-website)

both for SC4D and the STEX (and a few others, like Sim Kurier). Don't complain about dependencies, go hunt for them, it is now way easier !  ;)

I'm sure Catty will appreciate the plug.

Thanks Guys

The plan had been to do all the SC4 sites and also a megapack contents list but RL means the lists probably won't expand any further and the current lists won't get updated as new content is added ... I'll try and finish the lists I was doing for Paeng's and the ToutSimCities websites and given I've got all the megapack info I may end up doing that list, also if I'm ever looking something up at Simtropolis then I'll check what I've got listed for the plugin and will update the relevant list if necessary.

:bye:

Never mind, catty ; the work you already did is more than enough -- perhaps someone will be inspired and will complete it later with the more recent stuff. But what we already have is...grand ! I was deps  hunting for the WMP Grand Park beta-testing and it was a cinch ! (I hope my fingers didn't slip and the hunt goes as easily for our beta-testers !). Again, and very publicly : thank you. You did an invaluable job.

that would be great if it ever happened.

Unable to find   ()sad()  but Prop & Texture Photo Catalog has already been done on this site by Jmouse from the NUTs Team

And anyone who wants their own prop catalog just needs to run the PropViewer program by iLive on their plugins folder.
