Are there anyone who have trouble getting this mod fix to work?
possible solution proposal &idea
It's pretty simple to download a file and put it in the plugin folder
but that does not work for me?
I run steam and with the latest windows update :-\
For reliable operation, .dll files should ideally be placed in the "Install Dir" plugins folder. You need to find the Sim City 4 folder in the Steam install path, by default that will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Plugins.
If having placed it there, it's still not working, I don't really know what could be the problem.
I had a suspicion that, was something in that direction
It seemed too simple
to put a DLL file into the plugin folder
and finished
but when you read the instructions for installing the MOD
this is what, you have to do ???
.DLL files are not like other plugins/mods, they work sort of uniquely. As a result, SC4 really wants to load those before any other file types. Depending on exactly which mods you have installed and other factors, placement of .DLL files elsewhere can work, but often it's hit and miss whether the load correctly. So to ensure they reliably load every time, always place them in that exact location. Since I moved mine there, I've never had them fail to load since. But be careful, this really does only apply to .DLL files.
