Title: Working Casinos
Post by: demoreno on July 23, 2007, 10:30:37 AM
Hey guys!!   Is anyone working on creating working versions of the Casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Monte Carlo or elsewhere?   IF you are, please let me know.

This idea has bouncing around for a long time and sad to say none of the pros had the time to take it up. ;)

Nealos101 (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=595.0) is making casinos from Las Vegas.
The SGM Casino will be uploaded shortly after the CAM is finished (in addition to being ploppable, it will be a growable stage 9 CS$$$ as well).

However, you will not be able to gamble away your city funds in any of those casinos... yet... ::)
Maybe Daeley is up to something... &idea

Daeley - It would be great to see ploppable buildings that are similar in function to the casino included with SC4, in that they make money for your city.  The casinos can also be a landmark, or offer jobs.    But what I'm hoping for more than anything else is that they are detailed reproductions of real casinos.

It would be great to re-create the Vegas Strip.

demoreno:

Already trying to re-create that my freind! The SGM Casino Volume 2 is very close in realism to the real MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. I just wanted a change of pace and decided to do a simcity version rather than a real life version.

Saying that, however, any thoughts as to having a bash at doing some BATing yourself? I started my project simply becuase no one else would or had the time to, or even the patience, so I started with that thought.  My first Casino BAT was large (Not very good but large still), and was a personal triumph for me.  I would really appreciate any help - the entire BATing community would!
