Hello dear SC4 Devotion member  ;D

It has been mentioned some times that the Recent Posts Box, which actually shows at the end of the main foruns page, should be moved to the top of the page, making this information more quicly available.

So, since this is a change for all the users, and it will be permanent and not configurable from the user profile options, I'd like to know your opinion about this change.

This poll will remain open for 7 days, unless one of the options clearly wins before that period ( I mean 9 to 1 )

So, come on, spend one minute of your life and help us to take the right decision  :thumbsup:

I have to say I like it where it is.

I know where to find it right now just fine, too.

It was a good idea to make an Info Center  :thumbsup: I think there is no need to divide it now

I'm also satisfied with where it is now, but I guess I would get used to having it on top as well... :-\

I think it would be nicer to have it somewhere other than at the bottom, but putting it at the top might not be the best solution either  &mmm. I have to say, at the moment I rarely use it, because I rarely find myself with enough time to stray close to the off-topic end of the board.

Doesn't really matter to me but I suppose I'd have a slight preference for seeing it at the top...

It's fine where it is, it's not as if it's difficult to find.

I prefer the system in the way it is, call me a creature of habit.

The current system is easy to use as you scroll down to the last reply. Keep it as it is.

Well, the only way I can navigate this forum is using the "Show unread posts since last visit" link at the top, so I don't need a "recent posts" box at all. ;) The current position seems ok, though.

I have a slight preference to move it somewhere other than the bottom because I tend to follow those threads where I have already posted using the 'Show new replies...' link.  When I do make it to the bottom I sometimes discover real gems of threads that I didn't know about.  Having said that, I will be happy either way.

I think it would be a good idea to move it on top, though i wouldn't have any problems if it stays where it currently is.

i never had any issues with it at the bottom either......actually from a sellers standpoint having it at the bottom would enable the user to scroll down and be curious as to what other updates and threads there are until they get to the bottom for the current updates.....so that would mean theres a better chance that the user will be at the forums a bit longer looking through the forum threads compared to just looking at the updates..... :thumbsup:

I use the one at ST all the time. To be honest I didn't know there was one here at all.

Move it to the top for all to see!!!

I use it a lot and would really appreciate if it was moved to the top.

Personally I like it where it is.  ;)

But if it gets moved I'm sure I could live with that too. ::)

jeroni, is it possible as u did for the template option for members, to customize where they want their recent posts box either top of bottom? or is that rather a bit too complicated? just an idea i figured id throw out so people who like the current setup can keep it and people who like the recent post box up can change it.......my two cents....

In few words : Not at the moment  $%Grinno$% . It must be one or the other  ::) .

I use the 'most recent' posts all the time. Having it at the bottom is fine with me. But I'll  be  :satisfied: where ever you put it.

I use it a lot - but it's fine where it is right now. I zap through the "new posts since last visit first" anyhow....
