Title: Ploppable Beach
Post by: tkirch on August 16, 2007, 02:24:47 PM
We have ploppable water, ploppable trees, ploppable rocks.  Has anyone thought of trying to make ploppable sand for a beach along the ploppable water.  Adding some kind of beach texture into a ploppable for the mayor mode tree menu might be something that a lot of people may be interested in.  I have no idea how to do something like that.  Would someone like to take something on like this?

I guess the question I have now is this possible or is anyone interested in it.  I just thought it would be a way to make a better beach for inland lakes based on th eploppable water then using the ones on the stex they seem not to fit too well.

Looking for some opinions or if anyone could help me do it.  I have no idea even how to make a texture.  I looked at jeronij's tutorial for making something ploppable and it went way over my head.

Well, he's searching for a mayor mode mod.
I think there's no bigger need for it. You could try to use this one (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=18216) (dirt).

The beach bits on the stex are not really what I am talking about and they need to go under game water.  I love that idea FromTheAshes but it doesn't look like it saves after you close the game and it is close to a beach but does not look perfect.  But that is an awesome idea.
