With the exception of utilities, reward lots and their ilk, which seem obvious from the LEX, is there a way to tell which files contain purely growables as opposed to both growables and ploppables.
Its just I like to keep space down in my Plugins folder by not having ploppables in it, but a full search of my plugins folder (when its filled again) will and does take a very very large amount of time.
So my question is:
Is there a search function I am missing on the LEX for this?
or even better, an across the board naming convention for files that makes it easier to identify plops versus grows?
At the moment neither option is evident although BSC member ploppable files usually start with their name/intials - for example jes_3x4_somethingorother - whereas a growable will begin ID3_3x4_somethingorother. Other creators will label their files LM to show a ploppable.
I usually try to install into an empty plugins - I use Start Up Manager to help with that - and then look at the files installed. If I see anything with LM or named as above I throw it out.
If you check methodically as you install stuff you should be OK.
Thanks Barby.
Figured it would be so, but it never hurts to ask.
Saying that, its a labour or love to sort through them all and find the unwanted ploppables and get rid of them. Heightens my anticipation for when I do load up the game eventually and its all there and waiting for me. To have my plugins organsied and tidy from the off this time, so I can back them up easily too, is my main aim before I load up the game again.
