Title: My Trip to New England
Post by: thundercrack83 on August 19, 2007, 10:02:29 PM
I thought I would share some photos that I took during my trip last week to New England, particularly Boston, Massachusetts. I took them on my mother's digital camera--a Sony Cybershot--so forgive me if the quality isn't very good.

Thank you, my friend! Unfortunately, those are all the pictures I have from the trip. I took more, but they didn't come out so well, so they were deleted.

Thanks, Ennedi! Maine was wonderful--actually all of New England was. I was never there before and it was a great place. The flamingo was my favorite, too. I like how his feet are too big for his body.

Of course, we can't forget our political commentary!  ;D

I absolutely love Boston - I lived about fifty miles from the city for five years and still haven't seen as much of it as you did as only a tourist.  I do recognize a lot of those landmarks though... nothing like we have down in the good ol' South, where downtown is surrounded by a seemingly endless parking lot.  The Back Bay's really nice, as is Cambridge, and both are in the vicinity of quite a few good colleges (pardon me there, it's getting that time of year).

When you were there, did you get a chance to go into the North End and eat pizza at Pizzeria Regina?  It's probably one of the best pizzas in the world.

I also see you got to see the Red Sox in Fenway.  Great experience, great team - too bad Fenway tickets are expensive as hell and you saw them against Tampa.

Isnt Boston Great?  ;D

your lucky you got a beautiful day for the pru, when i went up it was snowing so you could barely see the outline of the financial district. Red Sox games are a blast, till they come over to sign autographs and all of the sudden the lower sections become mosh pits. You showed 5 of my BATs!  &apls

hope you liked it.

Yes, I must say that I loved Boston, and all of New England for that matter. I didn't get to Vermont, though. That'll be next time--maybe in the winter? I don't know yet.

Aaron (pickled_pig): I was in the North End, but only for a little while, looking around for Paul Revere's house, and that was in the morning, so I didn't get to eat any pizza. However, I'll keep that place in my for my next visit...and there will be a next visit! Oh, and the commentary about the oil tankers waiting to sell their oil was made by the captain of our whale boat, I just thought I'd pass it along!

Patriots1228: When I was at the top of Prudential, I thought of your BATs (I downloaded them long ago. Great work, by the way)!
