Here I go again, another try, lets make this one worth the time eh?
Im here, on a mission, starting up my sixth CJ/MD, i doubt anyone remebers "Stockholm City" from 2003, or "Stondon" from 2004, maby someone remembers some of my more recent ones like "Shintose". But now, im combining all the skills ive learnt throught my four years with the Sim City 4 community(never was involvied in the earlier games communities, even if ive been playing since classic). Ive decided to migrate from ST to here, because i belive that i will get better feedback here.
This MD will build on everything ive learnt about the game, from Lotting to batting and Photoshopping images, aswell as building cities, and most likley, featuring a the occational storyline, be it a one-chapter storyline or a multi chapter one. But excpect to see a lot of custom content used, ive already got a bunch of unreleased mods, bats and lots in use.
Feel free to drop any comments, although id rather see constructive criticism than flaming(which i belive is against the rules anyway).
Without further delay, lets get this party started. Im gonna post the first chapter separate to this post, as this post will be used for as a TOC, to ease once the pages come piling.

Description; "The Krimean Soviet Socialist Republic" was founded the 18th of october 1922 when Krim was liberated by the Bolshevik, and granted limited Autonomy during the following years for providing a safe haven and materials for the Bolshevik revolution to be able to take place. Krim is located on the Crimean Peninsula in the Black Sea, and has its only land border with Ukrane at the river  Dnieper. Krim is a Socialist State relying on a centrally planned economy, even after the colapse of the Soviet union. Following the near capture of Sevastopol during the Great Patriotic War Joseph Stalin withdrew much of the Autonomy that Krim had been given before and a lot of the indigenous population were sent off to workcamps. Following the rise of Nikita Khrushchev to power as the premier of the counsil of ministers in the Soviet Union, most of the previous rights were given back to Krim, which imediatly became one of the most productive territories of the union, compared to its size, with time more rights were given and by 1987 Krim was given full autonomy, on the condition not deviating from the Socialst Principles. Unlike most ex-soviet countries revolts never took place in Krim, and the Socialst state survived, mainly by pumping funds previously funding the military into social welfare which helped keep the populance happy and trusting their government. There is very little unrest in the country due to extensive propaganda and heavily enforced laws and constitution.
Krim's Maritime industry is the largest source of employment and the largest contributing sector to the economy, tightly followed by Agriculture and Manufacturing of general goods. Both nuclear and conventional ships are built and decommisoned here, a large sector is still active decommisioning old soviet vessels as the ex-memberstates reinvest into western technology. There is also a large steel and iron industry in the country. Krim has smaller reserves of Oil, but most of its not even worth exhuming due to the low ammount of fuel in the wells, most of Krim's oil and gas is imported via pipeline from russia, and a large ammount of its sold on and shipped out on tankers.
Its primary trading parters are Odeshchyna, Russia and the Ukrane, along with the rest of the Black Sea and Medeteranian countries falling behind that.

A Map showing the Location and Size of Krim in the Real world, (i even added a world map for those who dont know where europe is...).

Krim History

Early history; Prehistoric-1441[/b]
The earliest inhabitants of whom we have any authentic traces were the Cimmerians, who were expelled by the Scythians during the 7th century BC. The remaining Cimmerians that took refuge in the mountains later became known as the Tauri. According to other historians, the Tauri were known for their savage rituals and piracy, and were also the earliest, indigenous inhabitants of the peninsula. In 5th century BC, Greek colonists began to settle along the Black Sea coast, among those were the Dorians from Heraclea who founded a sea port of Chersonesos outside Sevastopol, and the Ionians from Miletus who landed at Feodosiya and Panticapaeum (also called Bosporus).
The Greek colony of Chersonesus, Sevastopol.
Two centuries later, (438 BC) the Archon (ruler) of the latter settlers assumed the title of the Kings of Cimmerian Bosporus, a state that maintained close relations with Athens, supplying the city with wheat, honey and other commodities. The last of that line of kings, Paerisades V, being hard-pressed by the Scythians, put himself under the protection of Mithridates VI, the king of Pontus, in 114 BC. After the death of this sovereign, his son, Pharnaces II, was invested by Pompey with the kingdom of Bosporus in 63 BC as a reward for the assistance rendered to the Romans in their war against his father. In 15 BC, it was once again restored to the king of Pontus, but since ranked as a tributary state of Rome.
Throughout the later centuries, Crimea was invaded or occupied successively by the Goths (AD. 250), the Huns (376), the Bulgars (6th century), the Khazars (8th century), the state of Kievan Rus' (10th-11th centuries), the Byzantine Greeks (1016), the Kipchaks (the Kumans) (1050), and the Mongols (1237).
In the mid-10th century, the eastern area of Crimea was conquered by Prince Sviatoslav I of Kiev and became part of the Kievan Rus' principality of Tmutarakan. In 988, Prince Vladimir I of Kiev also captured the Byzantine town of Chersones (presently part of Sevastopol) where he later converted to Christianity. An impressive Russian Orthodox cathedral marks the location of this historic event.

In the 13th century, the Republic of Genoa seized the settlements which their rivals, the Venetians, had built along the Crimean coast and established themselves at Cembalo, Soldaia, Cherco and Caffa, gaining control of the Crimean economy and the Black Sea commerce for two centuries.

Crimean Khanate: 1441-1783
A number of Turkic peoples, now collectively known as the Crimean Tatars, have been inhabiting the peninsula since the early Middle Ages. The ethnicity of the Crimean Tatars is quite complex as it absorbed by both nomadic Turkic and European components (in the first place, the Goths and the Genoese) which is still reflected in their appearance and language differences. A small enclave of the Karaims, possibly of Khazar (i.e. Turkic) descent but members of a Jewish sect, was founded in the 8th century. It existed among the Muslim Crimean Tatars, primarily in the mountainous fut Qale area.
After the destruction of the Golden Horde by Timur in 1441, the Crimean Tatars founded an independent Crimean Khanate under Haci I Giray, a descendant of Genghis Khan. He and his successors reigned first at Qirq Yer, and from the beginning of the 15th century, at Bakhchisaray.
The Crimean Tatars controlled the steppes that stretched from the Kuban and to the Dniester River, however, they were unable to take control over commercial Genoese towns. After the Crimean Tatars asked for help from the Ottomans, an Ottoman invasion of the Genoese towns led by Gedik Ahmed Pasha in 1475 brought Kaffa and the other trading towns under their control.
After the capture of Genoese towns, the Ottoman Sultan held Me⭩ I Giray captive, later releasing him in return for accepting Ottoman sovereignty above the Crimean Khans and allowing them rule as tributary princes of the Ottoman Empire. However, the Crimean Khans still had a large amount of autonomy from the Ottoman Empire, particularly, followed the rules they thought were best for them: Crimean Tatars introduced raids into Ukrainian lands, which were used to get slaves to be sold on markets.
In 1553-1554, Cossack Hetman Dmytro Vyshnevetsky gathered together groups of Cossacks, and constructed a fort designed to obstruct Tatar raids into Ukraine. With this action, he founded the Zaporozhian Sich, with which he would launch a series of attacks on the Crimea peninsula and the Ottoman Turks. In 1774, The Crimean Khans fell under the Russian influence in the Treaty of Kaynarca. In 1783, entire Crimea was annexed by the Russian Empire.

The Crimean war ravaged across what was to become Krim.

Russian Empire: 1783-1917
The Crimean War (1854–1856) devastated much of the economic and social infrastructure of Crimea. The Crimean Tatars had to flee from their homeland en masse, forced by the conditions created by the war, persecution and land expropriations. Those who survived the trip, famine and disease, resettled in Dobruja, Anatolia, and other parts of the Ottoman Empire. Finally, the Russian government decided to stop the process, as the agriculture began to suffer due to the unattended fertile farmland.
By 1917, Crimea was in a state of total devastation, mass exodus to the Middle East was occurring. The anti-Bolshevik White Army having ravaged what was left after the Crimean war.

Russian Civil War: 1917-1922
Crimea being a bastion for the anti-Bolshevik White Army that had been ravaging the already suffering population for the previous years. When the Red Army invaded Crimea they were welcomed with red flags and people cheering, the last anti-communists having fled by ships to the Middle East after the White Army under General Wrangel were crushed in 1920. On October 18th, 1921 "The Krimean Soviet Socialist Republic" was created by the Soviets, although allowed to remain a Autonomous state, the Soviets made sure that Krim would always stay within the Soviet sphere of influence, for fear of being invaded by the Soviet Union.

World Wars & Cold War; 1922-1991
The first few years Krim experienced a host of socialisations, the agriculture was forced into colectivization, which led to several years of starvation, but eventually, the yeld started to increase and it didnt take long untill Krim was a major agricultural provider in the Soviet Union. by 1934 starvation was completly abolished, and the exports of agricultural produce to the soviet union bolsterd the economy. Which was mainly invested into the educational system, as the Soviet Union was paying for most of the large scale industries and the upkeep of her Black Sea Fleet. As the Great Patriotic War exploded and ravaged europe more soviet troops began moving down, Krim was but on a war-economy by the soviets and most of her autonomy was withdrawn, this saw an decrease in the yeald of the fields, primarly becase the men were drafted into the army, this led to more starvation and famine. Eventually the Germans came and Krim saw some of the bloodiest battles of the Great Patriotic War. The leaders of the Third Reich were anxious to conquer and colonize the fertile and beautiful peninsula as part of their policy of resettling the Germans in Eastern Europe. The Germans invaded in the summer of 1941, advancing through the Isthmus of Perekop. The Krimeans together with the Soviets put up a though resistance but were forced to retreat back as the Germans kept pushing. The Isthmus of Perekop was the main defense line, and once broken gave the Germans free reign over most of the peninsula, although at cost of extremely many casualties. The Krimeans and Soviets retreated back towards Sevastopol, the Capital of Krim and home to the Soviet Black Sea Fleet, where defenses were prepared for a long and lasting siege. The Garrison held out through the war until the Red Army once again liberated Krim the 9th of may 1944, Once again welcomed as saviors with hudreds of Sovet and Krimean flags waving as the lead battalion marched down through the demolished streets of the capital. Sevastopol was awarded the title of "Hero City" for withstanding the Axis seige for 250 days.
The so called "City of Russian Glory" had suffered hard, once known for its beautiful architecture was entirely destroyed and flattened to the ground. The City was rebuilt stone by stone with enormous subsidizes from the Soviet Union and Stalin, whom prioritized it to be restored to its former glory within the shortest time possible.
When the war was over the Red army withdrew most of their garrison and forcibly deported the entire population of Crimean Tatars to Central Asia, however harsh this penalty was, Krim was allowed to regain its partial autonomy because of this obvious human rights violation. Krim was also forced to hold two Soviet Air Interception Divisions, One Medium Range Bomber Division, 144th Army and The Entire Black Sea Fleet. However these Divisons Employed mostly Krimeans, working for the Soviet Union.
In the post war years, Krim thrived as a prime Tourist Destination for people from the Soviet Union, The German Democratic Republic serving as the prime source of tourists. Krim's Infrastructure and Industry boomed, particularly around the seaports of Sevastopol and Kerch. It became one of the Soviet Unions Major ports to the world, covering a majority of both Imports and Exports, a small oil industry was also set up to extract the small oil recourses around Soviets'kyi, in the north east of the country.
Krim's relations stayed very good to the Soviet Union, and the region was one of the few that managed to get a net increase in crop-yeld most years, a population which grew substancially faster than the rest of the CCCP's due to the extra money placed into social welfare. Although having education and healthcare well below western standards, it was still among the best you could get outside Moscow. Most of the industries were effectivised and enlarged, the shipyards were tasked with designing and constructing most of the Soviet Unions larger ships. In 1987 Krim was granted full Autonomy by Nikita Khrushchev on the condition that they stayed true to Lenin's thoughts and the general idea of Socialism. As Krim was let go, two soviet Armoured Divisons waited at the border ready to spring in incase that the conditions wernt held. The handover went peacefully and Krim kept its Socialist State system, aswell as the Planned Economy. As the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union fell unrest did come in the country, but thanks to the government slashing the defence budget and investing it all into social welfare and increasing traderelations with some western nations unrest once again dissapated. Saving the government from an otherwise uninevitable fall, like the rest of Eastern Europe.

Digital Age: 1991-Present
As the Soviet Union fell and the world breathed a sigh of relief, Krim was buisy tying down relations with western and the new eastern European countries, although most dismissed the country because of its government and economical policies, there were a few that did relise that things were indeed going peacefully in this small nation, and that the populace seemed happy about the situation. At first the economy was fueld by decomissioning foreign ships and building new ones for the host of new nations that had emerged. Gradually foreign trade came into the picture and both exports of Krimean goods and Importation of Foreign food and luxuries were organized, the people whom felt that the government was spending most of its monet on the populace for once instead of on warmachines were growing happier. Social Welfare was ontop of the governments list, the housing projects were upgraded with new licencebuilt western apliances. Hospitals, Schools, offices and factores alike were digitilzed, the technological gap had been closed quickly with the help of foreign trade. Most of the Militart equipment, now having stood abandoned in hagars and at quays for the past decade needed serious refits, while Russa and Ukrane were fighting over the rusting hulks sitting in port of Sevastopol, not for whom would want to own then, rather for who had to pay for their decommissioning, the Chinese and Indians bought a few of the hulks from Krim. The Russians still operate their Black Sea Fleet from Sevastopol, Most of the ex-soviet equipment left in Krimea, Aircraft, Tanks and Guns were left and later gifted to Krim.
To this date Krim still hasnt changed its offical name, and the Soviet part stands as a relic from a past time of both hardships and glory.

Aye, and im gonna be evil and leave you withot any ingame pictures for now, next update should be on the government, showing the primary ministries and the governmental system in detail, and yes, that will include ingame pictures ^__^

Central Commitie of the CPK: This is the leading political entity, there the top of every sector of the country, basicly the highest promotion any citizen can earn.
Security Cabinet: The highest decitionmaking entity, these are the three that run the country in case of an emergency.
First Ministers: These Ministers are the First Ministers of their respective ministries, one out of the seven prime ministries. These have atleast one Minister or Aide under their shoulders, that they tutor and have to control more specific parts around their ministries.
General Secritary: Nominated by the Central Commitie of the CPK, he is charged with the duty of making sure everyone is dooing their job, much like the position of Prime Minister or President, except he has less powers in the case of emergencies, as the power is divided up on three shoulders to prevent disasters(see security cabinet).
Ministers & Aides: These are Ministers under training, some are incharge of certain sectors, like Railways or Agriculture, but act upon strict orders and supervision of their First Minister in charge of them. The average Aide is about 45 years old and the average Minister is 50 years, which makes them the youngest in the Central Committie of the CPK.

Ministry of State Security: (http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/1808/m1fullkp8.jpg) This is where everything concerning the state's security is governd from, it works very much like the Soviet KGB, or the American CIA, gathering intelegence from both abroad and from the interior.

M4346: I wonder, will you see the application when your sitting reading through the nights buissness at our forums with your breakfast cup of tea tomorrow?

patfirefghtr: not so much action in these pictures, but atleast you see the ever vigulent military flexing its muscles in these pictures too :P
bat: Hope you liked these pictures then :P
Dark_Jedi06: That is rather true, there can never be to many Socialist nations around :P for the people!
Yoder7652: Ah, but then we call them Socialst MD's eh :P were still enroute to developing a true communist nations :P hope you enjoyed these latest pictures, and i hope that your presumption turned out correct ^_^

Fantastic update comrade!

It's just like the USSR pre-1991. Amazing history, great use of buildings and custom content (flags and such) and the commie posters are a nice addition. Excellent work!  &apls

Title: Krimean Socialist Republic - Tri Party State Meeting
Post by: Xiziz on August 23, 2007, 07:33:10 AM
Zdravstvujtje Comrades!

No biggie today, just gonna update on a recent event that occured in Sevastopol, Krim. Also to give a bonus image ^__^
Note, this update is two days late... because i spent all day yesterday watching Hayate no Gotoku & Sumomomo Momomo, a total of 21 Episodes @ 25min each... gotta get ready for University now eh :P

1500, Sevastopol local time
Tri Party State Meeting, Elytheria, Odeshchyna and Krim. Elytheria beeing one of the leading candidates for the ongoing elections in the SCJU, Odeshchyna beeing a strong supporter of Elytheria and a prominent member of the SCJU meeting up with the CPK Security Cabinet in the capitol building of Krim. Security was intence to ensure the protection of the two foreign ambasadors, and most of the meeting is still classified, However rumors are spreading that the main subjects were Krim's application for the SCJU, the Elytherian Election Campaign and several political acts and bills. The Secritary went out with a short PM to the media stating that this is indeed the start of a very much improved International relations and that the citizens of Krim should look forward to an ever increasingly better time. That sums up todays information from the Department of Media & Press, Elytherian press can be found at the SCJU here (http://www.12colonies.net/forums/index.php?topic=303.msg6520#msg6520).

The Krimean Capitol building on an increased security alert, with about the double of the usual guard stationed for this meeting among Ideological Bretheren. (yes, there will be another post of this building showing it at normal security ^_- )

And just because i cant leave without atleast one joke:

Oh... and i nearly forgot the comments eh XD Well, i have to say this is a sheer enourmous ammount of comments, looks like i made the right choise posting here rather than at ST, now for some personal replyies to all my comrades out there, and a shot of vodka(yes, we dont really enforce the legal drinking age in Krim, there are worse problems than having a merry population).

M: Thanks, glad i was able to meet up then, even with Owens bragging of my ablitites(no, there not nearly as good as he claims, there better...)
Jerebannus: Thanks, i do spend hope everyone has understanding for me spending that little extra time fiddeling around with things like posters, id rather make a really good update than three lousy ones ^__^
belfastuniguy: yay a real regular :P
Glenni: Thanks, for everything my norweigan friend, and yes, the Hind was needed primarly for this update above, which ofc got delayed, but im very glad im allowed to use it :)
bat: Thanks, glad you liked it!
Amerikaner: I know, it would make it easier for many to post at ST, including me, as they use html instead of bb-code(which is a lot more convinent as i know some htlm). But i woke up today, two days from the last posted update and found that id gotten yet another comment, at ST i never got anymore comments after the first two hours had passsed(which meant it was back down on page 16 or something XD) Il make Sure youre informed when theres an update though!
Yoman: Thanks for the Comment!
patfirefghtr: Thanks a lot, and i do like that saying, i think that shall come to some light!
pipishere: Thanks, glad you liked it!
kwakelaar: Thanks a lot! I rather like uniformed styles, makes it look more organised and less messy :P no "build what you want where you want to" Policy in Krim!
ExiLe: Glad you like it! And the Royal Palace, i couldnt use the Swedish Royal Palace now could I, so i went of to our rich neighbours and stole their Palace *Grin* (no ones batted my palace, cityhall or even parliament yet *sob*)
Great to have you around Exil(e)! And im waiting for that day, I am sorely waiting *Ahaha*

Oh, and just to tell you, i occationally post .png's so incase your not already running Firefox, get it!

Brilliant stuff! &apls

Nice pictures of another "communist" MD too. I like that you have made a unique look, very unlike the other similar journals. This feels like... well not only "Soviet" in general, but also "Central Asian" in a more specific context. Very good, and very realistic.

I have to say that the constitution is an abomination though. :D Accountability is zero with that structure. I don't think even Nazi germany had a constitution that openly totalitarian. One question though: a communist party with out a Polit Bureau? That seems unlikely.

Anyways, following this journal with great anticipation.

Heja Sverige! ;D

Keep up your work and try to get some life on the streets. And for Swedish palaces and city halls..you never know will they be batted $%#Ninj2

awesome!

Im guessing the job of lowering and raising all the hundreds of flags in the city is a punishment reserved for the most annoying and lazy private in the army?

those pics of the real krimean pennisula look cool, I never knew it was mountainous like that, and especially didn't figure on it being that sort of rugged limestone karstic terrain. BTW, I have always seen it spelled crimea, maybe the c is the anglicized version while Krimea is the tradition version, like Bombay/Mumbai?

What about those special lanes on avenues that are kept for the use of high-ranking Party members? Maybe you'd find a good use for the Network Widening Mod when it comes out just for that purpose. :P

Title: Krimean Socialist Republic - Replies and a Preview
Post by: Xiziz on August 25, 2007, 06:20:49 PM
Zdravstvujtje Comrades!
Today i have replyes for you, As it was friday yesterday i was out in town drinking... Today i really wanted to bring you a good update, but i found that i need to make a few lots before i can show the area i wanted to show(which is why i quite the game a few hours ago). then i got bundled up in trying to texture the A320 model ive made, with horrid results so i put that down and started making something more Krim-related. I started batting Sevastopol Atomic Energy Station(Link) (http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/6794/snesio3.png). Its not decided that its gonna be called that, but most likley, maby swapping Atomic for Nuclear which would make it SNES for short ^__^
Im hoping to have a nice update for you tomorrow, when ive made those lots and made the waterfront look really neato(yeah, the government update part two will have to wait a little further yet).

Replies!
emilin; Thanks for the comment, Well, i kinda sortof renamed the Politbureau, thats the Central Comittie. I tryed to fit in the entire "democratic" process of a Socialst State, but i think il have to explain that in storymode instead, as its rather lenthy and complex(and farfetched XD).
Bengt; ^__^ Thanks for the comment, you dont have to like it... you just have to read it! Id love to see some Swedish palaces and stuff, though you better keep churning out those Diagonals, far more important :P
patfirefghtr; Thanks for the comment!
Dark_Jedi06; I think im gonna start by turning up the graphics a notch, though the cars do take a bit of the style out, as there all american luxury cars, id love to have them all replazed by Lada's and GAZ's :P
Glenni; Thanks a lot :P those props will come into almost certan use, just wish there was a way to convert em into Automata(Lorries, cars, busses etc) :P
Danthe; Ah yes, Thanks for the comment, and im glad you were able to get free from the opression :)
Zaphod; Well, the real peninsula is spellt Crimea, in Ukrane its transliterated into Krym and in Swedish its called Krim, so i basicly cheated a little to make a more original name... I think its a rather good job raising flags, i mean compare it to the factores, where dirt reigns supreme and theres semi-toxic fumes all over the air, raising flags is atleast an outdoor job, though you have to get up real early, as all flags are to be up by 0700, and then lowerd again about 2100.
Shadow Assassin; Il find a good use for that mod when it comes it, no doubt :P Though in Krim, we fly our high ranking Politicans around, thats why we have helipads everywhere :P despite, there arnt that many that owns a car, so the roads arnt too congested anyway, most people travel on the Mass Transit, that is busses and trains.
bat; Thanks for the comment!
Yoman; Ahaha, yeah the Stroh 80' insane stuff, smells like icecream... and potent enough to drive your car crazy!
belfastuniguy; There is allways Vodka left :P we got stills everywere to make it just in case :P I do like things gorgeus too, but then i thought id strive for the complete oposite and strangely i find it really fun and challenging to make things look "realistic"... im probably way off but still :P
pipishere; Yeh, i do have a certain passion for military stuff, and there will be plenty of this stuff here in Krim, from local garrisons to decaying nuclear subs to operational long distance bombersquadroons. The jets are in there desert camoe, i just screwed the render(need to conpensate the textures for the changed light in the render). Though i want to repaint them to a green camoe so il have to rerender them anyway.
S_imon; Ive never been to Eastern Europe yet, but id like to go someday, there are a lot of beautiful cities around. most of what ive seen are from pictures and documentaries, and weve got a lot of the Socialist Suburbs here around Stockholm too, those huge concrete blocks.

Da Svidania!

Zdravstvujtje Comrades!

"The Manure still smells like Manure, but atleast you don't own it!" -Me, just now

The Legend of Dimitrij - Rural Showcase
First off, im sorry for not producing the update as i said, i will explain why its one week late. mightaswell do that directly, so we can move into the showing of pictures part(which is rather meager today i might add, sorry).
Last Tuesday was my first day at University. Im studying Japanese at Stockholm University, after beeing outraged of having to pay ~70E on books i found it really fun, i thought i would get the books for free as allways... Oh, and apparantly you dont get lunch at Uni for free eather *sigh*. Appart from the money im finding it really intressting and fun, although the temp is unbelivably high, so everything got rather hectic and things were happening everywhere, i did have some time to build, and i spent it in the lowerrightmost quadrant, trying out socialistic looking agriculture... well, lets say its unbelivably hard, i hardly know how a "normal" western rural area looks, making an east-europe looking one was even harder. so after zoning and ploping(and destroying two nice farms growing PALM TREES????) some basic  ameneties, schools and such, aswell as some rail and other misc buildings, driving a RHW through the area(that was fun :P, RHW is wonderful!) i atleast had a basic rural area, and it was looking good, however all the riffraff of farmestates and houses look wrong, and still does. tryed to communisize it a bit with large buildings and old cars, but the automata just destroys the little i get from props. Forgot to install the awsome busstaionlot i made too, well its more like a long distance coach-stop.

Well, hope yall forgive me for making you wait, and for showing you rural shots instead of the promised Governmetnal pictures, i kinda need to build some regional demand *sigh* Kudos to Glenni for a lot of really nice props :P

And some random shots of one of the Minor villages, these villages dot the rural landscape and are the small farmer communities, as all agriculture in Krim is colectivized, one village like this will own all the surrounding fields. And for the most part, most farmers have been succsesfully indoctrinated into dooing their jobs, occationally Dimitrij is found with a bottle of vodka to much, but as the other farmers also tend to be in that possition occationally, no one tells the state about it.

Roads are too clean. You should alter them somehow in photoshop and that roundabout is maybe too much. But farms are colourful.

I kinda like the roundabout, something huge and seemingly useless in this rural landscape, great planning from the central comity.

I like your farms, and how you play with colors
I don't know how to use russian letters, if you will tell me, I will be able to write to you best wishes from Shosaloza po russkij  :D

Outstanding job on those mosaics.  Your farms look fantastic and very realistic. I really like the small town feel you get from your pictures although I don't really like the avenue round about.  IMHO, it doesn't seem to fit properly.  But as I said, just my opinion.

You'd be surprised at how often avenue roundabouts are found in the middle of farmland in Australia. They're often connecting two or three major routes together.

How did you get your fields to blend so nicely with the diagonal roads, are those overhanging props that cover up the ugly, jagged dirt?

Irk... SORRY COMRADES!
For not updating in ages ofc, though ive been really buisy with school latly. I was planning an update of some industrial areas today, but il shove them up to later this weekend, due to me having to redo them completly... the quays were a little to high so i need to lower the ground down to the correct harbourlevel. we hope to get it up over the weekend still though... unless i decide to BAT away all my time XD like today.

I spontaniously decided to start texturing Sevastopol Atomic Energy Plant. Yes, i decided name now, the puplic released version will be called Sevastopol Nuclear Energy Plant(SNES :P), and will probably feature a little cleaner textures, aswell as non-Krim decals and text(still Kryllics though XD). I only got as far as texturing the Controlcentre, takes a long time to make textures, though i have the main molds now and the rest should be substancially faster. i would like some comments on the curved roof though, im thinking of making it flat or sloped instead, as the curve dosnt really fit with the general architecture of the plant. and the only picture i have the of the roof of the real building is from google earth and obviously dosnt show the angle of the roof.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg503.imageshack.us%2Fimg503%2F6402%2Frkmbcontrolcentershownt3.jpg&hash=03c208614ce44502e9b92f60aaaaa23f38743be5)
The textured controlcenter of the main building, there will be more buildings, but il have to bat them seperatly as i think even this will be horrid to render on my PC. there is a large smokestack and another officebuilding the same lenth as this, aswell as a couple of warehouses, and LOADS of props i guess, theres loads of crap lying around the real plant for some reason, from rusting cranes and pipes to trucks, trains and even helicopters. though the latter might not be there, the rest are :P
Then theres allways the coolant-outlets into the baltic.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg211.imageshack.us%2Fimg211%2F5972%2Frkmbfullshowzo7.jpg&hash=4adf1b4ece9cdc054840f3f2407fd0ce6cb21176)

Yoman; Thanks for the comment!
-M-; Thanks for the comment, and err... wait some more please :D
Bengt; Yeah, roads are to clean, but we have to have a punishment for all adolecents caught drinking, and what better than scrubbing the streets... with mops(yeah, it wouldnt be very effective with toothbrushes now would it...) Roundabout is the best interchange for the RHW atm, so bear with it, i would rather have had a grade-separated interchange, but that would mean a switch to eather avenue or motorway for a longer distance, which i didnt want to :P
kwakelaar; Thanks for the comment, and indeed, the roundabout is the Central Commities planning, but there is not really any better substitute for moving Tanks and Troops around that a near-empty motorway :D
szymcar; Thanks for the comment!
belfastuniguy; I do belive the NDEX ones from STEX do that, carparks that is. but otherwise i would lot my own, sc4-tool is really simple for TEing things :P
Ennedi; Thanks for the comment, much apreciated. Hmm, russian language mode should work, i use a copy & paste techniqe, via googletranslator.
Shadow Assassin; Thanks, i really like how the RHW works, and your textures do wonders for it! Oh, and roundabouts are used just like in Australia here too, to connect major routes.
bat; Thanks for the comment!
Dark_Jedi06; Ahaha! yeah, as M said, they grow a lot of lavender, the population cant survive on making just tanks, grain and vodka eh, Lavender Tea, Lavender Wine, Lavender for everything imaginable :P Especially couloring things Purple(<3). Photoshopping is the secret behind the farmlands diagonals, they looked HORRID before i fixed them up ^__^ (me hates jaggies).
M4346; Right On! Sorry for this update beeing nothing new to you... as ya already saw the Station on msn while i was at it :D
thundercrack83; Thanks, i dont mind people popping in late, better that than never eh :D despite, the previous chapters are still there, so its not like youve missed anything ^__^ (Btw... im working on decipherig your Avatar, though its written in Katakana, which i dont know yet :P)
pipishere; Thanks for the comment!
rooker1; Thanks for the comment, i dont think the roundabout fits in very well eather, but its a lot better than the alternatives i was trying, maby with the Modular Interchanges for the RHW i will come back and redo it.
iamgoingtoeatyou; Thanks, that means a lot coming from a master of Photoshopping :D
sebes; Thanks, and welcome back :P
flame1396; Aye, the 5 MiG-27's are intended for a blackmarket, since there in desert camoe. im gonna reskin them into a more convetional green skin for use in the CJ. unfortunatly the model isnt mine, so unlike the Sukhoi series of jets im making i cant release it. Yes, I will release most of what i make once im proud enough of them, and think that i can dare to see them pop up everywhere :D

Oh... no Firefox add? well there are no .png's here... and i trust you all downloaded it already? right? right? oh get on with you then!

Zdravstvujtje Comrades!

Im back, as you all know im studying Japanese at Stockholm's University, this is why its taking so long to make updates :P combined with the fact that sc4 isnt growing as i want it too :P
I did do a lot of work ingame, though mostly rural, and it looks prettey much the same as the last area, im gonna grow some suburbs in that area, and this will be shown when its done instead.
BUT, i do have an update today, a Story related one. ive got a major SARF story, about the war in Phoenia, however first i want to present you the first number of the "Red Star" newspaper. Im hoping to be able to make the newspaper weekly, so that i can update on stuff every now and then, as theres a lot happening. But atleast heres a leadnumber. then after that ive got a combat story from Phoenia, still tuning my writing skills for the future launch of storymode in Krim.

1715 - 15km behind RNAI lines
The sun is slowly gliding its path across the horizon, slowly lowering itself between the peaks casting an eerie shadow across the landscape. On a small hill three figures lie in the bushes, unseen, unheard, with a great view over the surrounding forests, the deep dense forests running through this area. But there not lying covered in makeup in the mud for no reason at all, like a scar through the forest an power line cuts through with all vegetation for several meters on either side cleared out. A main point of movement for hostile forces heading to and from the front, the recon unit lying on the hill are commandos, the trained elite of a modern army, the cherry on the whipped cream of the army, and there about to deal a lethal blow, as soon as the warmongering northerners came running down.
120km south an E-2C Hawkeye, with its huge array of sophisticated radar systems is circling around "safe" territory. Caveman 1 has just taken over duty from Caveman 3, an identical aircraft returning for refueling after a 18 hour shift, and time to give its crew some well deserved rest. While Caveman 1 searches the airspace for any unknown aircraft, although the hilly terrain prevents it from picking up low flying aircraft, although a great vulnerability not seeing your enemies, they know that their foes have the same disadvantage. With the newly arrived SARF 2nd Airwing, SCJU aircraft outnumber and outgun RNAI aircraft 5 to 1, which on the other side is a huge advantage.

Just as the sun passes below the mountains the peace and tranquility of the forest is abruptly interrupted by an explosion of noise over the secure data link as the hostiles come about over a hill into visibility.

Lynx 3 - Caveman 1, do you read me?
The commander turns the radio dish another two degrees and buttons a know a few millimeters to the left and tries again.
Lynx 3 - Caveman 1, do you read me?
Caveman 1 - Lynx 3, we read you, what you got for us?
Lynx 3 - Incoming, two battalions strong
Caveman 1 – Thanks! We will send someone over to party with you, ETA 3 minutes. Stay put until further notice.

Three minutes away, the instant Caveman 1 terminates the link with Lynx 3, Romanov, group leader of the Sierra Flight gets the flights target information.
Sierra 1 - Okay buddies, let's get this done with, we got two battalions heading south down Path C, well split in two's and come down with 3 second intervals, understood?
Sierra 2 - Aye Capt'n
Sierra 3 - Roger that
Sierra 4 - Understod
Sierra 5 - Got that
Sierra 6 - Aye
Sierra 1 - Good, fall to 50m heading north-northeast and follow my lead, maintain radio silence.

For the six pilots in Sierra Flight, two of whom served in the same aircraft, the Su-25 during the Afghan war, where the aircraft proved its worth providing excellent air cover for ground troops. All 6 planes were armed with cluster munitions, unguided rockets and two R60 "Molniva" heat seeking Air to Air missiles for self-defense. The jets leveled out in pairs three seconds apart traveling at 950kph 50 meters above the ground.
As they reached their targets Sierra 1 called Caveman 1 to report that targets had been acquired and that Sierra Flight was engaging.
Approximately two kilometers away, an antenna tank stopped dead in its tracks, its antennae swinging with the force of the sudden stop, the entire battalion stopped behind, and the second battalion followed. The commander of the M1A1 Abrams screamed franticly in his radio as a hail of Cluster bombs and Rockets began landing on the MBT's and APC's, destroying everything in their path, including the power lines and setting half the forest on fire while at it. Most of the tanks had been rendered useless and in need of major repairs, some were beyond that and only a handful were operational, that is not counting burn marks and scratches caused by the flying debris.
As the last two aircraft flew across some of the surviving crews open fire towards the jets after bailing out of their tanks, knowing that the Su-25 had too much armor in its belly to pierce with their simple M16's. And as a matter of fact, several rounds did find their targets, clinging on the pieces of raw steel protecting the engines and cockpit of the aircraft.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg511.imageshack.us%2Fimg511%2F7434%2Fexplosiongl6.jpg&hash=84827333001a6558856453d9ea83213a825634e6)

Sierra 1 - Caveman 1, Targets eliminated, returning to base for resupply, any known hostiles in the area?
Caveman 1 – Roger. That is a negative, no hostiles seen in Phoenian Airspace the last three hours. Thanks for the help.
Sierra 1 - Aye

The six aircraft increased altitude and turned south leaving the shining setting sun in their backs, a favorable location in a dogfight thought Romanov. A small tingle, just barley noticeable sparked off in his eyes moments later, verifying over the intercom he wasn't the only one that had seen it, the faint reflections of a glass canopy. A quick conversation with Caveman 1 and they were still unidentified, flying low and slow, with their radars of to avoid detection as much as possible. The three jets were unmistakable; Three F16 Fighting Falcons were flying straight into Phoenian Airspace, as they had several times earlier the same week, usually with horrendous losses since the arrival of SARF and other allied forces. Romanov assigned them each a tag, U1, U2 and U3 for Unknown, the six aircraft settled in pursuit, keeping their altitude so as to keep coming from the setting sun. As they closed in the RNAI emblem was clearly visible, a quick report to Caveman 1 gave the information that the closest fighters were a flight of Atlantian Typhoons 8 minutes out, way too long, especially since Romanov had two conclusive advantages, that of a surprise attack, and the numerical advantage, however the F16 is a much greater dogfighter, and not anything Romanov wanted to let through the first barrage. Settling with two missiles per plane, one fired from each aircraft in his squadron, leaving enough if they were to run into more hostiles.
The six missiles were locked on and fired, quickly accelerating to a speed of mach 2.7 following the heat radiated from the F16's exhausts. The three RNAI fighters never saw it coming, the lead fighter exploding into a giant fireball as the two missiles exploded simultaneously just centimeters from its engine sending debris forward and ripping the entire aircraft to shreds before the pilot had time to eject. The massive fireball caused the two remaining fighters to quickly jerk fooling one of the R60 Heat Seeking AA-Missiles to veer off and explode in the fireball. Both the remaining F16's releasing flares as they push their afterburners to max trying to escape the missiles. The left wingman, a little to hasty in his controls stalls his fighter and is intercepted by two of the missiles in an massive explosion with the debris falling down into the forest below, the pilot sailing down in his parachute. The third F16, in a cat and mouse game with the remaining R60 missile goes down low and as the missile follows it hits a treetop triggering the proximity warhead. Although saved from the initial blast, debris comes flying through the entire tail section causing the F16's single Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-220 engine to fail, the pilot quickly ejects before the aircraft disintegrates among the trees.
Romanov tries to contact Caveman 1 to confirm three kills for his flight gets no answer. Forty tense seconds pass before anything is heard over the radio. And it's not Caveman 1, it's the commander of the Atlantian Flight who has just arrived at Caveman 1's position reporting the E-2C Hawkeye as a loss, its burning wreckage scattered across a muddy field. Caveman 3 is quickly brought up, despite its tired crew to fill the gap, apparently some of RNAI's fighters got through and were able to mount an attack, the Typhoon's quickly destroying or chasing them out.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg105.imageshack.us%2Fimg105%2F1042%2Fsu25slr7.jpg&hash=668694777d2103f6c5ab6de57d3dd52d2d1889ed)

Romanov brings his battered Su-25 down on the runway, with a lone R60 "Molniva" hanging off his left wing and as good as dry fuel tanks while the radio continues chattering with the noise of the recently launched SARF ground offensive to retake the capital of Phoenia, which they are certain to succeed with now that the majority of RNAI armor has been decimated. As he climbs out of his cockpit the ground crew shuttle to rearm the aircraft as Romanov walks directly to the briefing room to pick up a cup of tea and his next assignment, in less than 40 minutes he will be heading north again to help support the offensive.

SORRY!!!

I have been struck by a huge bug of RLS this term, and im hoping of getting back once studies die down a little in intensity. screwed beyond recognision, stuck in a looping depression etc, it takes some time, and more than that, guts to dig yourself out of, and i got my hands clear of the clear blue ice.

To answer some comments and tell the world im alive:

Owen: Yeah, and a big thanks for the heads up and spellingcheck!
Stormont: Thanks for the comment and im glad you enjoyed it.
Begt: Indeed, the best from capitalism, stolen for use in communist propaganda, well, seeing that Anime/Manga started in a despotic/feudal state that isnt really true. but still, Manga has historicly been used as Propaganda(and so has western comics...) so why not use it as GOOD PROPAGANDA!
Ennedi:Thanks, and indeed she is an idol of mine too!
SIMplMn9: Ah, sorry for the spelling mistake, glad you like the update!
Pipishere: Thanks for the comment!
Pat: Thanks for the coment, beter late than never ;) i dont mind when a comment comes, and i owe you a glass of vodka, i really needed to say the above, and your post gave me good inisiative, altough the vodka has done a good enough job today.

Zdravstvujtje Comrades!

Well, i guess you know me by now eh, not really the best to keep up with updates, this time i have legitimate cause though. Ive been buisy with Exams and a lot of Modding(as some of you undoubtebly have alredy noticed). Well, today im showing some more modding ive been dooing. Ive decided to screw unbalanced lots totaly and organize everything nicly so i can start growing at a real pace, that is sorting things into correct stages and styles.
I decided to start out with the low-density & farms, so far ive done about 25 low density lots, using mostly rp2005's models, and a few of SFBT's models, placing them on lots and increasing lotsize, as ive allways thought those 1x1 and 1x2 lots are way to smal for a rural town or Villa Estate(i know they are that small in the UK, and USA, but in sweden its rare to see a house with more than 15-20% of the garden coverd with buildings, ie, most houses have huge(in comparison) lawns, so ive made my lots inbetween 2x2 and 4x4(and one 2x5), which give the real nice and cozy feeling im after, since im using very similar housing it also looks rather prefab, lots of homes built on the same design with different colours, just like the homes you see outside ex-comme East European Towns.
Sometime next week i will redo the farms too, so that there just fields(ie remove the buildings on farms, also to make them more eurpean/commie) and find apropriate CS$/CS$$ for rural villages/towns.

So today i have to show, todays work, that is Stage 1 & 2 Low Density R$ & R$$, i have some stage 3 lotted and modded too, but i didnt burst the stage two limit in this town. The entire town has a total of 656 residents, now if this were sc4 vanilla it would probably have about 5 times that. this is because i limited population in each home to 4(for single homes) and 8 for conjoined homes(ie two homes in one house), the basevalues were around 15-30, which also gives me a lot more realistic population for my towns(and cities in the future, once i remod those buildings, which is in the way, kindof waiting for X-Tool before really pushing it on to the limit)

Lets Dedicate this to Pat's Vodkaparty eh? 8th of December already running well into 6 hours here.

*Yeah yeah, stop yapping now and show us the pictures*
-I heard that... well alright then, i guess you want the overview too eh?

Second Mozaic... remember were watching the houses and lots eh? what you got consumed by the flashy cars? not my fault sc4's automata is allways just been through the carwash... and repairshop it seems.

Replies eh?
Well, thanks for the extra comments since i last answer them. i know about the storm there, but its a lil late to integrate it, i was thinking off though, but i couldnt get my docks done in time, and there still not done, part of the ever-evolving port-set me and owen are working on.
Next update will be eather of Docks, Sevastopol's new(yes again...) look or something else which i find fun to do at the time(yes, indeed im trying to be original sometimes, usually it ends up with half-finished tiles that i wont show because there half-finished XD, like the main Airport of Krim, which is essentially only waiting for more aircraft and hangars, and a few coustom lots, and this and that and farms and and and and you get the point)

Well, hope you enjoyed, and keep checking those "Show new replies to your posts" link uptop so you see when i update again, but things should calm down next week, giving me more time to indulge deeper into the abyss of batting, modding and using what ive batted and modded :D

Incredible work here. For once you finished something without me knowing about it  $%Grinno$%

The amount of detail I can find in those mosaics is incredible. Your Photoshopping makes everything feel natural. A splendid update even if its not part of the Krim region :P

Better late than never I suppose...
Great job on this Xiziz and nice to see You pursuing membership in the SCJU.
It´s always nice to see Your work with BAT and LE, so keep it up!
At the moment I can comfort You with the fact that it is +5c here in Stockholm at the moment.
That combined with the slight rain and high humidity level here makes me somewhat annoyed since I have to wash my Volvo at least once a week to keep it reasonably close to the white colour it´s supposed to wear...
But that is f course not a problem in Krimea, I´m quite sure You have a correctional program for all those who tend to be a bit heavy on the right foot when driving...
What better way is there to make them see the error in their ways than making sure that their beloved general secretary´s fleet of vehicles are kept in mint condition. ;D

God jul och god fortsättning! (Merry christmas!)
