That is one heck of an opening for an MD. Certain people I know can barely squeeze out a waterfall a week (you know I'm just rattlin' your chain, right, P.?!)

Great update there.  I'm impressed by both the quality and quantity of your pictures.  :thumbsup:  I like the way the low wealth residential blocks work together, look really cool.

Both updates are outstnading.  I love the amount of pictures you fed us. 
So many things I could comment on.  But, I think I'll just make two suggestions if you don't mind. 
Number one, try to find a good street modd, I suggest jeronij's, which can be found on the LEX.  It will stop the side walks from changing colours, which I personnely hate in my own cities. 
And number two would be a rail modd by peg, it will stop the jagged edges on diagonals, which can be found on his site.
If you have problems finding them, PM me and I'll give you the links, glady my friend. 
If you like these than I think your MD will be perfect.  As of right now it's only 99.9% lol.

That's another nice update.  Like the black coal hill - I don't think I've seen that one before.  It looks good the way it's surrounded by the forest. 

Also like the shot showing the whole city and the names of the different districts.

Your coal mine hillock is as realistic as it can be  &apls Maybe it is better you didn't make such huge one as it is in RL  :D

I especially like your city general view, the layout is great and harmonizes well with surrounding hills (a nice coupe of trees and bushes - it isn't easy!)  and river (these small islands look very good, and I like the way you shaped the river bottom)

Excellent pictures.  I really like the avenue clover you made.  Can we see more pictures of that area next time, please?  It look like there is a lot of traffic, is that because residential on one side of the river and all jobs on the other side?  Anyways it all looks great.

I like the region shot and night views - but looking at your region I can say you have some work to do here  :D

For those who don't know - I can confirm these blocks and the general atmosphere of this area is realistic  :) in the real life this region (Silesia) sometimes looks sad, but good people live here, and I think it is one of the most interesting regions in Poland (something similar to the Ruhrgebiet in Germany)

It's my first BAT. Textures are too bright and not good quality, but next time will be better. ;)

It is very important you are trying to show characteristic elements of your city - it gives a specific and unique character to your MD :thumbsup:

Modern district is very good, but the cemetery is fantastic! Many people make very well-ordered cemeteries (btw there are many of them in Western Europe and especially USA, I suppose :)) and this one is very diversified. You put a lot of trees here - yes, it is typical for old Polish cemeteries. I like it a lot! &apls

And congratulations for your first BAT, it is realistic and I think others will like it too :)

I don't live exactly in Upper Silesia, but close to it (Bielsko - Biała). I perform most of my work in Silesian industrial plants (now in Rybnik Power Plant - I know you are from Rybnik ;))

I really like the New City District, especially since it resembles the atmosphere I'm currently looking for. I'm having trouble finding anything between McD's and towering skyscrapers, though. I haven't been able to find much in the way of mid-rise CO$ and $$ that fits in, but once I've finished my current project, I plan to start learning to BAT. (That ought to be a jaw-grinding experience, but you've made a good start on yours.)

Yeah. If you want to do your own style city, you must learn some about BAT and start working :D. So i going to make another modernistic buildings from my town. I don't like american architecture style which is in SimCity.

Nice update there.  I like the way you have the pictures in frames for the 800 year celebration.  That sort of thing is beyond me, so I'm impressed.  My favourite picture is the park with the diagonal cross paths.  Never seen one like that before  :).

A very nice update again szymcar, those apartment building are great, and you made a very realistic looking residential area wth them. The park and road intersections are splendid. The only thing I dislike are the high walls along the avenue...But hey, the people in the flats will probably be happy that they are there  :thumbsup:

Międzybrodzie is a very inviting little village, szymcar. The farms and houses work well together.
Is there any commercial development present or planned? (I'm probably just failing to recognize some comm. buildings!) ::)
Also I'm wondering what size the city is. I used to fill all the small ones with industry, power plants and garbage dumps, then re-enter them only when necessary.
I've seen so many good ideas here, though, that I'll probably change my ways.
Anyway, nice update. I like it. :thumbsup:

Hi Szymcar,

What a great rural community you have there.  I like the last picture zoomed out - it gives us an overall view of the village.  Like Joan says, it's all too easy to fill in every space, so I like the way yu've created the forest.  The TV antannae up on the hill is a very nice touch.  My only comment would be that most of the farm buildings are the same.  Maybe that is what you were aiming for, or maybe some more variety in farm buildings would make the village even more interesting.

Great rail/industrial shots, Stary Lubań is also very nice with these canals and the mix of old w2w buildings and concrete socialistic blocks  :thumbsup: (yes, most of them are painted now so our industrial cities are more colourful than earlier  :D)

I like this new update, szymcar. There is a sort of carefully-planned simplicity about it which is fairly consistent with previous updates.
You have chosen your photo locations well and stayed within the parameters of a style you've developed as the MD progresses.

How do you call these districts in Poland? If I translate the Hungarian name, it would sound like housing or residential district.

We call it "Blokowisko" (Blok (block) - the place where are a lot of blocks)
or "Sypialnia" (The place where people only sleeps :) (Sleeping room) )
There are some another names whose I don't remember.

Nice update there.  Your MD certainly does have its own "Feel".  Joan refers to it as well.  I like the jail - must have taken some timee to get it how you wanted with the fences etc.  I'm not normally a fan of the highway walls, but you've used them well.

Only thing I'm not sure of are the ped bridges.  You would need to go up and down two sets of bridges to cross the whole avenue.  I'm not sure whether there are any custom BATs that would solve the problem.  I would have used the NAM Ped Bridge as it can be built to any length and shape you want.

Nice job, but I suggest ditching jeronij's street pavement mod. It doesn't suit the area very well. Perhaps sap's European Asphalt mod would be a far better choice in that respect.

Otherwise, I love how everything's been put together. It's nice and pleasing to the eye, even if it is a R$ area (for some reason, I find that Eastern European R$ areas look a lot nicer compared to American ghetto areas)

I'm certainly no transport expert, but that cloverleaf intersection looks good to me. Also, I'm seeing more and more fallen leaves here lately (as in the panorama), and I really like the trend. The overview (next to last shot) has a nice rural feel to it, and the waterfront looks good. Which water mod are you using - I'm having trouble finding one that suits me?

Szymcar its been awhile since my last visit and you have done some wonderful stuff here and I truely enjoyed the visit!!! This last update was great here and I love the parks divider from the ave and street and that stair case!!!  I also really enjoyed the suburb road shot!!! Great stuff here and I will be back soon for more and take it easy with RL......

Especially fond of the Moszczanica District with the cobbled streets. Sorry to hear you don't have much time to play the game, but hope you'll try and squeeze in an update every now and then. I see nothing with wrong with that aerial view at all - I like the way you've spread the zoning out a bit and left some green areas. The night shots are always personal favorites, and you've created an attractive mosaic, too. The mine looks good - I tried using it once but didn't like the results! And, of course that last shot is a beaut - really provides a comprehensive picture of the whole region which is beautiful I might add! :thumbsup:

That's a wonderful new update there! Also the mosaics and pictures are great, the region overview as well!

Very realistic city and lay out. The pics with the rain on the previous page are stuning. The région view is also really nice and realist.

Bajerówka is a charming little village, szymcar. As expected, you've made some good BAT choices and arranged them well. I especially like the urban town hall and Mary Church. :thumbsup:

Not long ago, I lived in a town with brick streets in some areas, but they weren't nearly as good looking as your cobblestones! And those last two photos are interesting - a bit of a departure from your usual style, but intresting!

You've used a very effective way of highlighting the area you're presenting, szymcar. I like it! :thumbsup: And I don't find the photos boring at all - I love rural areas in general, and I think you've done a good job of creating yours.

That construction site is huge, and I'm anxious to see how the finished structure looks. I like your terrain mod and choice of trees, BTW.

The way you present each area is excellent. You have some beautifull rural areas.
Well, i dont know if you understand what i try to explain, but you know those little texture chances / highlighted tiles on the street that happens when you chance the street to NAM mood. They can be removed when you have layed your choice. When you have removed it, you drag the street over the tile you removed and in that way you remove the highlighted tile but keep your chanced street texture.

It's a little introduce to new R$$$ area called Monica (like Santa Monica Beach in LA). It has a orginal road solutions to cut down traffic jams. Monica is placed in eastern Stary Lubań, near Koniec District.

Especially the part with all these blocks of flats. One might think in some French suburbs  ;)

szymcar, I think the Koniec District looks just fine, and the "warm areas" are especially nice. Even though a bit dull, you have placed the tenements/apartments well, and such buildings should be a part of any city. And the overview helps us figure out where everything is in relation to everything else.

So now I'm looking forward to seeing more!
