These are all based on buildings near my hometown. Some names have changed.
1. Carla Vista Post Office
A rectangular building with a sloped aged copper roof and a small triangular extension with the Post Office logo on the two exterior sides. Would include aged copper trim below the roofline.
2. Skeletal Tower
An unfinished construction project. This could be used as filler. Really a simple job. Probably a non-functional landmark could be used to execute the idea.
3. Countrywide Complex
Countrywide, a major loan and bank company, has offices in the city where I live. They are mostly tan-colored with scarlet accents. They're like 5 stories.
4. 101 Park Place
A funky small strip mall, with wild paint colors and various architectural details throughout.
5. Ray101 Corporate Center
4-story office buildings with diagonal corners and really reflective windows.
6. Fast Lane Auto Spa
A car wash (we don't have many around). The main building is really tall. To its left is a covered parking area with vacuums.
7. Archaica Shopping Center
Before the mall came across the street, this two-store shopping center existed. It has a Michael's Arts and Crafts and Pier 1 Imports.
8. Marblefront Strip Mall
In 2006, Archaica got a companion closer to the street. It looks very modern, with structures that look almost like marbled fronts. Vitamin Shoppe, London Gold jewelry, and a Sprint dealer are located in this building.
9. East Mall Center
As part of the major mall development, the builder also constructed a really large strip mall bisected by a road to the east of the freeway that cuts through it. It contains about 20 to 30 stores in 5 buildings: major retailers include Aaron Brothers, KFC, Nordstrom outlet store, Ski Pro, Ultimate Electronics, Lowes home improvement, and Famous Footwear. In the small buildings, blue meshed fronts on brown stone hold store signs.
10. West Mall Center
A green-and-brown colored strip mall development encompassing Circuit City, Paddy'O outdoor furniture, a quirky furniture store called Razmataz, The Great Indoors, and three restaurants in separate structures: Abuelo's Mexican restaurant, Olive Garden, and Red Robin.
11. Windmill Inn
Before the mall, this mid-sized hotel existed. White front with 5 stories. I bet its business went up when the mall came to town.
12. Chandler Infill Project #22
Two small two-tenant commercial buildings, constructed in 2005 and 2006.
13. Windmill Villas Commercial
An AutoZone and CVS Pharmacy have separate buildings. A two-tenant facility contains a pizzeria and sports grill. A four-tenant facility is home to a tanning salon, an eye center, a karate dojo, and a take-and-bake pizzeria. Painted a really dark brown.
You should add pictures too. ::)
