Title: Raising water level, how?
Post by: LoneRanger on September 16, 2007, 11:29:20 AM
I hope the topic says it all what my question is about.

The situation:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fxs219.xs.to%2Fxs219%2F07370%2Fsub.JPG&hash=b6e9f728b2ab53be15a2cc86c46c2d481017f5d0) (http://xs219.xs.to/xs219/07370/sub.JPG)

To make it more realistic [to me] I need the water level raised a little to about where rock turns to grass.

Can it be done or should I uninstall this mayestic game and find another hobby?   :D

I reduced your picture size a little to help reading this thread without scrolling sideways.

hey LoneRanger. It is possible to raise the water level by editing the terrain mods controller files that are responsible for the water settings, evidently it is tricky to set for you have to be very specific what water level you want. If you go overboard and raise the water level too high, it will devour the city. In addition you will have to tweak the shoreline settings as well. I was not able to achieve that part as for RL was kicking me at that time i was tweaking it. For more information, please go to my thread on water elevation tweaking: http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=2217.0
If I have time this week or next I will explain what I did in order to get the water elevation up with pictures. Hope this gives you a better insight.

Thanks for answering Filasimo, I stumbled on your topic by coincidence last night and had a quick read.
