Well maybe if you're a bit more specific. "Some texture packs and some buildings" is not very helpful.   &mmm

Clean out your internet cache and then try to re-download the files.

Have just downloaded Osturland Grand Citadel Palace with no problems.

Those files work fine for me, so it must be on your end. I suggest that you follow Vester's advice.

Yeah, mine does it sometimes also. I'm not sure why but I use Firefox and Winrar , so I'm guessing every once in a while one or both of them get a brainfart!

I know I do! ;D

I haven't had any error yet. Maybe its something to do with the distance.

I use Firefox and WinRar as well.

I don't know what causes it, or how to solve it, to be honest, because I have never experienced it either - and I'm in South Africa which is much farther away.  &mmm

Maybe there's a 'bump' or something in the connection.  ()what()

Heh, Marius- I think the LEX is served from ZA...

Now, up here in Alaska, every once in a while a LEX file will have a little freezer burn on it, but otherwise they've always worked great.  The LEX powers that be (i.e.- not me) will take a look at what's up, though, and get back to everyone.

Really?  ???  ()what()

That would explain why I can, sometimes, access the LEX and not the main site. Like when I'm capped and can only visit local sites!  :D

I think you are wrong about that Dedgren. Pretty sure it's placed in Spain, just like the main site.

Moi, Arne?  Wrong?

Why, I go five, six minutes sometimes without making a mistake...

Wherever it is, it's a marvelous thing!

SC4D is hosted by HostGator.com, which is located in Dallas, Texas, USA. With the favorable Euro to Dollar exchange rate, I don't blame Jeroni for hosting in the USA.

No wonder SC4D is always blazingly fast for me-all of my internet traffic goes through Dallas on its way to the rest of the world.

As for the LEX, I'm not sure. I did Google for "CSX Webtools" and they are indeed in ZA. As for the server location...

Anyway, I hope that sheds some light on the subject.

Cheers,
Kevin

If I'm not mistaken, the LEX runs on the same webspace package as SC4D. CSX Webtools is Colyn's RL business, and he developed the LEX software together with ReLiC.

As always Andreas speaks the truth. The LEX is on the same server as SC4D wherever that is ;D

So I must be imagining things then  :D Oh well, I'll just continue to imagine those things if it makes me feel better!  ;D

This has happened to me as well, and the only solution is indeed to clear your cache (temporary internet files).
Otherwise, each time you're trying to download the incomplete file, you'll get it from the cache, once again incomplete.

The quota is on a 24 hour basis, so tomorrow this time you should be able to download those files again.
