For the past few months, I've been working on a region that is home to 7 large cities. Its name:
Camelot-Churry Valley-Riverforest-Cadiz-Snowdon-Marley Park-Track's Wood
I would like to shorten it down. Camelot encompasses 3 city tiles with 2 of them very large. Track's Wood was the former name of the region.
I am open to dropping Track's Wood.
What's YOUR longest region name? Mine is 72 characters long (!)
My Current Region is New Castia... It was Castia and changed it in Start Up Manager (http://kurier.simcityplaza.de/details.php?file=311) by a luck of a chance draw...

I have Startup Manager, which is how I rename my regions now. This one went through a few shorter names.
I'd like a shorter version of the region name I have up there. Help!
Ahhhh so you want help to get a new name then aye? I would suggest look at the charater of the region...
Are you going threw industrial revolution or are you happy mild in residental growth or what? ? ? What about as an idea "Camurry River Valley".... Thats just a thought though - pat
get a picture of your region, it might be easier to tell then :P
Maybe one with some names on it.
To this you can use Region Census (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=913).
I advise a phonebook for naming. Open it up, flip through the white pages, and point at a random name. There ya go: combine that with -ville, -burg, -town, River, Heights, Wood, etc, etc, and you have a perfect city/regionm name.
