I recently started reading JRR Tolkien's The Silmarillion and am loving every moment of it thus far. I would honestly recommend this book (or collection of titles) to anyone interested in the mythical world of Tolkien known as Arda. ;D
I desperately searched the STEX for maps of anything Tolkien and did manage to find the LOTR Middle Earth Pack (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=17303&v=1) (by Heblem), and also a map of Beleriand (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=12038&v=1) (by clintonk), but I am not very happy with the quality of the latter. &ops
So I would like to submit a request to any fantasy mapper, or skilled and able mapper even, for an impression of Tolkien's Beleriand - the setting for most of The Silmarillion. Never ever seen this thread, unfortunately! If you are still interested in this project, you may be able to contact our intrepid fantasy mappers (blade2k5, Vandy) as their skill is pretty much unsurpassed!
