w2w = wall-to-wall
sf = slope friendly
wfk = waterfront kit
bte = BSC Tracking Enabled

And I guess it has become so custom in this community and most of us are familiar with it that we've forgotten to explain it.  &ops

Thank you, I have often wondered what all the letters mean.

Well I checked out the LEX and saw that those were the main non-self-explanatory ones... So I think that should suffice?

We can always add MEGA to the list... but I'm thinking that's unnecessary!  $%Grinno$% :D

Okay, we can add:

CAM = Colossus AddOn Mod
NAM = Network AddOn Mod
SNM = SimNation Military
SNMN = SimNation Military Naval

And RHW = Rural Highway (AddOn), but I think at the rate the NAM team is carrying on they should compile their own list. :P

I guess.. I can help out here on behalf of the NAM team.

NAM - Network Addon Mod

Originally created by the ST Modd Sqaud it has grown into the biggest and one of the most well known and used mods for Sim City 4.  Adding all kinds of things from new intersection options to new puzzle pieces to texture fixes and much more to the transit networks.  One of the most important members to this mod was Tropod in the early days, he took a much deserved year off and is now floating around SC4D with some helpful advice to the newer Transit Modders around.

GLR - Ground Light Rail

This mod initially started as a puzzle piece system in which Elevated Rail was made into a texture and made at ground level.  This originally had a fatal flaw in which when laying the Puzzle Pieces, if you touched a TE Lot with it your game would crash.  This flaw has been dealt with to the best of Transit Modder capabilities with the Puzzle-Drag method.  GLR is now a draggable network by plopping a puzzle piece and then dragging the Elevated Rail tool out of it.

RHW - Rural Highway

This mod was initially created by qurlix.  New members have taken up the challenge and RHW has evolved into a much bigger project including many other networks.  This mod takes advantage of the ANT Network to its fullest extent.  Eventually you will be able to drag multiple side by side ANT Networks and have them convert into RHW of different widths and number of lanes (everything from 2 lanes on one tile to 10 lanes across 4 tiles.)).

NWM - Network Widening Mod

This is a a parent acronym for the RHW, TLA, SLR, Wider Avenues and OWRs.  This is the general name in which all the new wider networks will be child projects under.

TLA - Turning Lane Avenues

This is a mod initially started by RyanSC4 (burgsabre87) in which Avenues were given left turn lanes.  This mod has been expanded from initially to be included in the NWM and is no going to have three versions of different widths (1 tile, 3 lane road;  2 tile, 5 lane avenue; and 3 tile, 7 lane avenue).

SLR - Single Lane Road

This is a mod which adds a 3rd lane to the road system.  In gerenal cases of RL it is used when going uphill where cars will be able to pash slower trucks.

SAM - Street Addon Mod

This is a mod initially started by jplumbley.  It takes advantage of the technology learned when making Draggable GLR and makes it possible to have multiple different street textures co-exisiting in the same city.

BBD - Boston Big Dig

This is a set of Transit Enabled Lots created by blahdy.  These lots are currently made to convert road traffic into underground subway traffic to simulate unerground highways.  Experiments are being made to attempt to make these lots convert to under ground Road Traffic to make these lots much more realistic and easier to use in-game.

RTL - Road Turning Lane Mod

This mod adds left turn lanes to roads at Road/Road 4way and T-Intersections.  It is currently being re-developed to include optional turning lanes and expand the turning lanes to be included on more intersections.

ATL - Avenue Turning Lane Mod

This mod adds left turn lanes to Avenue/Avenue 4way Intersections.  New optional intersections with right turn lanes are in developement.

Some general Transit terms:
OWR - One Way Road
TE Lot - Transit Enabled Lot (these are station lots)

I hope this was a good addition to this thread.
