Yes I have Infranview and It is good but the files for the pics have been lost for ages. I have done a few system restores and Lost the files so I cannot convert them.

May aswell post my hidious traffic problems :( I have the NAM 2x capacity patch BTW. (Which means roads have a capacity of 2000 instead of 1000 and one way roads have capacity of 4000 instead of 2000 and so on.)

Replacing it by a roundabout didn't really help, on the contrary; everyone wants to use the inner lane.. (the seasonals don't fit here, I know)

Another big accident? Even bigger.. Perhaps a highway system should be installed (I left the menu on intentionally, so you can see the zonage/roads/population)

My train stations are over capacity so sometimes there is a lot of trains or one really big one

To be honest my city only has a few bus routes on major roads and a few in some suburbs, and the bridge next to that bus bridge was heavily congested so I built the bus bridge to make the trip quicker (like the Victoria Bridge and Eleanor Schonell Bridge/s in brisbane) and the buses can skip traffic!

Quite realistic actually  :thumbsup: This is a daily experience for me when traveling by bus towards the city of Utrecht in the Netherlands :angrymore:

This was an attempt to do a double left turn. This intersection is made with one ways for the turn lanes, and avenues. You guys probably will never be able to recreate like I did. There is no option that allows you to have 1 part out of four of the avenuexavenue intersection, but did you see what happened to the traffic here?

It didn't work, because the traffic got grid locked, literally that there were so many cars, they got stuck and couldn't move, because the interecection consisted of 9. I had tried this in a variety of ways.

Dang, j-dub. That traffic jam's insane. :o I guess double left turns aren't possible right now from a practical functionality standpoint.

@Deathtopumpkins, yeah its too bad double left turns couldn't work better and not have traffic get stuck! If that idea is figured out, it may take 20 years. It involves new irregular criss-crossing in the pathes. This is current pathes and stop points. Wether something can be done to solve the cars not following the lights at all... Oh yeah, and thats still the RHW, just not transitioning into the intersection, because I used puzzle pieces here.  @Tankmank, glad to be of help, I hope the game is more enjoyable now.

I'm sure something could be done about it. In 20 years we probably will have modded every aspect of the game so much it's not even anywhere similar to the original. Pathing just completely loses me though, so I don't have a clue as to what you could do.
And is there anything that could be done about the cars actually being related to the timing of the lights? It's really annoying when all directions are going at once, and I often get regular maxis intersections where the lights for both directions turn green at the same time, so I never know when to go in UDI.
I was wondering about the funkiness of that intersection. It looks like an avenue has been pulled apart with a tile in the middle containing a OWR, but I'm clueless as to how you did the intersection(s). Care to explain?

Explanation: The avenue IS pulled apart with OWR in the middle. The half avenue does continue one tile further where the diagonal OWR meets. The only way to get it to curve diagonal into an avenue is to push it towards, then switch direction after its built. I did have to use rail to split the avenue up, but I also used on slope pieces to start the intersections. Those yellow crossings in the middle is RHWxOWR, thats why there is no signals. The second picture was done with roads, but the traffic circle tries to appear but splits into a wierd one lane intersection. The pathing is messed up here, part of the back up, is cars getting almost in head on crashes, and they also drive in the wrong lanes, but thats Maxis programing. Those are oneways going under the overhead siganals, but as you know, its not pathed right. Now 3 networks at one tiles isn't possible, but I say its really OWRxAvexRoad, due to how it pathed itself two way traffic at the avenue corners. Basically this is so messed up, you shouldn't be able to do this.

Unfortanetly there is nothing that can fix the timing of the lights. I'm telling you they run red lights in my game, even though thats not suppose to be the case, or their just blocking the intersection, like this picture. The all lights on green first happens to me too, but then they change after finally loading. When you don't know, you have to pretend its a real life intersection with no stop signs. There is plenty of those in the older suburbs without warning, but stop signs get blown anyway, even though there is something riddiculous to get your attention, thus CRASH!

I'm not even going to try to comprehend how that is possible. I think I'll just stick to the regular intersections!  :D
It's pretty cool that you figured something like that out though. How exactly do you split up an avenue? I've seen several people do it, but I've never been able to figure it out.
Yeah, I know, treat it as you would a regular unsigned intersection. It's just weird in SC4 as all the cars still know what light it's supposed to be. On heavily traveled roads you can still figure it out based off of when other traffic goes.

Well in order to pull something like this off, Step 1, use the avenue on slope puzzle piece, figure out where you want the avenue to end the other way, put another avenue on slope there, then demolish the slopes, then Step 2, drag a rail on on one side or the other, then demolish the rail. Then you repeat both steps to make the opposite side.

It's a giant unrealistic hill in the middle of my city, and there aren't exactly a lot of options to get down (this is the only 4 lane route down, and it goes right into high dense commercial) :P

Yeah Jack Xu, never before has anyone captured a massive wreck from rock slide erosion in SC4 over here before. At least the tractor is already there, and the back up is not worse, but as always weather causing traffic jams are an inconvenience for travelers none the less.

I was driving my Lamborghini northbound at 200mph (around 330km/h) when a white taxi going eastbound came in front of me... I turned left but I hit a white truck then other cars started crashing and the white taxi went northbound and crashed into an apartment complex...

Some of these vehicle collisions are a real mess and I am scratching my head as to what the Sims involved in that wreck were thinking when they made that mistake (or got caught up in somebody else's).  One thing that really drives me batty about RL highways is how people cannot seem to proactively plan their lane position to either avail or bypass the interchange.  It is not like the interchange does an Houdini henshin every night . . . if one really exerts the effort, he can determine which lanes bypass the interchange versus the lanes to avail the interchange along with their routing and establish his lane position accordingly.

As for the signalized intersections in SC4, there needs to be something where the automata is not so quick to execute left turns simply because of the green light; in RL, we would wait to execute an opportunistic left turn until after the oncoming motor (and pedestrian) traffic has crossed the intersection.  There are also intersections with a traffic signal that denies autocratic left turns until after the oncoming traffic has come to a halt before a red light.  I am certain that somebody can create a mod to that effect.
