An odd request - but I've given up. I'm looking for the coastline of Benin to scale, eithier total (153km) or half of it, about two or three large tiles in. Where is Benin? Its between Togo and Nigeria in Africa, and its a pretty plain coastline - but I need it for my MD.
Or alternatively, send me to the area where I can get 16bit greyscales for the countries of Togo-Benin-Nigeria-Cameroon.

I would be able to tackle a project such as this, but not until December, once all my other committments have been met. You could send me a message if no one's taken care of it by then!?!?
I can't point you to a spot that has 16bit greyscales, as these have to be constructed by downloading Digital Elevation Models and converting them to PNG (through about $1000 worth of software!). I could point you to the digital elevation models, but to make straight maps with them would be difficult.
In fact, you could post this request in my thread in December maybe with pictures of your approximate area (via Google Earth), etc. This way, I will can show the transformation from image to PNG.
Heblem does excellent requests (has the tools and skills) to do these requests as well. Perhaps send him a PM?

That sounds like a very good idea - I eventually want to have a whole whack of area to better simulate the my MD, and its better if I eventually learn how.... :)
