I don't know if there's a standalone zip for this mod somewhere, but the NHP Palm Springs California map by beskhu3epnm in the LEX comes with Heblem's desert terrain mod.

Might be a good idea to make this mod available with instructions independent of the map.. I've seen 3 or 4 people looking for "arid" terrain mods.
