Here i will post random pictures from cities i am working on, i usually loose interest in a city/region after a month or so, so this will simply be what i am currently working on. The name comes from my city journal at Simcities.com which i planned to create a complete city but ended up with just, well, a collection of random images
to start:

Random or not, my friend, they're always excellent. It will be a pleasure to have your great pics here on SC4D.
Good luck!
David
Wonderful random images!! (Great start!)
Very nice. So that's how you use the industrial pipe divider thingy. Thanks!
I absolutly love your style. The way you compose those shots are stunning! &apls
dedgren: Thank you for your nice comments
bat: Thanks ;D
petercintn: You mean NOB's water pipes right? They can look effective in urban areas.
emilin: Thank you ;D
Two more pictures:

I have actually removed the large building in foreground since taking this screenshot as i felt it looked out of place ;)
Fantastic two new pictures!
You have a real good taste to choose BATs and city planning , I like these perpespectives on your pictures .
These are some great pictures dude!
It the KPMG building your own or did you download it?
bat: Thanks :D
Badsim: thank you for you kind words
sebes: Thanks ;D. errrrrm, which is the KPMG building?
sorry for the lack of any updates for a while, frist my internet decided to not work, then i went to holland to saty at my grandparents so couldn't play SC4.
just two more today, they are from a completely diffrent city than my previous pictures (as you can probably tell)
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg518.imageshack.us%2Fimg518%2F820%2F0031wg2.jpg&hash=5aa05d84620493c7c84f880ae541a5cb27f4bda2)

Well, it was worth waiting for your update. Stunning  So much little details :o
The pictures looks nice but I'm sorry i don't like the colour you take on this screnns
Cool pictures again. The KPMG building is in your previous update, first picture, the brownish building in the middle (the one with the blue sign KMPG on it ;) ....)
ah yes, that one that says KPMG :-[. Thats one of glenni's and can be found here (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=16904)
Thanks!
Wonderful pictures! Great work!
Rayden: Thanks for you nice comments ;D
Antoine: Well i played around with them a bit. I genrally play around with most my images in photoshop, some results are better than others ;)
bat: Thanks
just one random rural image for you to cast your eyes over (I haven't had much time to play sc4 recently ;))
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi123.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo292%2Fmjig_dudy%2FNewCity-9May.jpg&hash=aeec49fb0a72df42c9104f449ebc5fcb50144cd8)
Wow this screen is nice
looks very nice! Great using with the Rural Highway!
Great pics!
That last one reminds me of the countryside here in Norway.
BTW, what road texture are you using there?
awesome pics, thanks for sharing them
Great start, I really like what I have seen except for the rail line, it looks like a roller coaster. If you don't mind I suggest getting your hands on a good slope mod. I think there are two different ones on the LEX. One made by CSX and one by jeronij. Good luck and see you again soon.
Those are some cool looking pics, great viewpoints! I'm looking forward to seeing more...
Antoine: Thanks
bat: thanks, Gotta love RHW $%Grinno$%
Mulefisk: Thanks, The road the texture, from the 2 Way RHW mod, I attached to my post on this (http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=124&threadid=67624&STARTPAGE=36&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear) page in the RHW thread. However, the diagonals and the Rail crossing i am using are from a newer version, which i am currently working on ;)
Cali: Thanks.
rooker1: Yeah, i agree i need a good slope modd for rail there. I usually flatten out my rail using HSR first, as i find this gives a nice gentle slope, But the terrain was too steep to that there.
seemurray2: Thanks
Now a mosaic :D

I Actually had more, but simcity decided to crash before i had taken all the screenshots and I, stupidly, hadn't saved :(
WOW! my friend you are a master city planner, i love the way you did your highway with those embankments, fantastic job, your photoshopping is wonderful aswell, i will be checking back
&apls Great mosaic you done . I like what you did with the bahn set
wow-ing mosaic !!! Really like the way the HSR, the GLR, the RHW and the railway and the city fit together ! Complex and realistic !
(btw what is the big brown building just in front of the japanese railway station ?)
I can't think of a single detail that doesn't look perfect in that shot. &apls
The bigdig tunnels look stunning in that setting.
Fantastic pics!. I guess I have really missed out on the RHW- they look great.

... i love the way you did your highway with those embankments...
where are they available?
Great mosaic , I like this complex railway & RHW/road network , underground and elevated ... that looks like a messy hive of activity (I've learnt a new word today ;D )
Wonderful mosaic! Great work!

Is it still possible that the game crashes even when using dat packer or did it crash because of the infamous GLR bug?
Great pics and thanks for the linkie you gave to Sebes. I got it now too :)
Nik-Nik
Hey, m_d-
Sad about the crash, but my guess is that the next time around will even be better...
...although it's hard to see how...
So many really great detail touches- I found myself scrolling up and down the mosaic to look at new stuff that caught my eye.
You are this week's "SAVE YOUR GAME OFTEN" poster child.
David
Great mosaic and sorry about the crash, happens to me so many times that I now save every 15 minutes or so. ;)
iamgoingtoeatyou: Thanks very much, it doesn't come anywhere near your excellent CJ skills
kimcar: yeah I liked the effect bahn set, but those shadows it casts on my highways look pretty horrible &mmm
nova vesfalo: I believe this is the one you want ;), http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=17551 (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=17551), or is it this one: http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=16904 &mmm
emilin: thanks very much for that comment and the big dig tunnels are such excellent BATs that they would fit perfectly in almost any situation.
EDGE4194: I'm big RHW fan, I don't use the New NAM so that i can still use the RHW ;), the embankments you can get here: http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?page=1&keyword=sbahn&type=all (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?page=1&keyword=sbahn&type=all)
Badsim: Thank you for your comment, much appreciated (especially from such an amazing city builder as yourself)
bat: Thanks :D
NikNik: I was caught out by the GLR crash bug, wasn't being careful enough
dedgren: Thanks for your nice comments, and yes i really should save more often. But as i'm on a pretty slow computer it takes a while for the game to save, so i usually keep putting it of ;)
rooker1: saving every 15minutes eh?, its a habit i should get into as well
This is a pretty old city i stumbled across while clearing out my simcity folder today, thought you might like to see ;)

&apls I like what i saw. Your city look very neat can`t wait for other pics.
superb images you have there! would love to see more of them  being random myself, i havent had a quarter of the splendor your cities have. &apls
Nice pictures. Reminds me a lot of Alek King's style, actually. If those are your "old" pictures you must have ahd one heck of a talent when you started playing this game.
it is a very lovely city, thank you for sharing your "Classic" pics &apls
mjig_dudy- thank you for the link! (love the waterfront at night shots)
For an old city, that looks great.
()stsfd()
Hi mjig_dudy ,
I particularly enjoy pictures #2 & #3 , this corner with two curved buildings is really great .
kimcar: I'm afraid thats all i've got from the city, I lost it a while back, during a clear out...
zniehadajet: as above, i don't actually have anymore images to show...
emilin: well they are not from when started playing the game. they are older than most of what i post here. Believe me, when i started playing my cities look like absolute garbage ;)
Cali: Thanks :P
EDGE4194: No problemo ;)
rooker1: Thanks!
Badsim: Yeah, i like how those building fit there too ;)
Here we go:

Wow! I see you've also been inspired by those great Amsterdam Bats, Great job with the lot editing of the canals and the walls  Keep up the great work!
no sweat. as long as you promise to keep working on aspire. :P lol! love the new image. how about some pedal boats on the canal? i love it!
Awesome little mosaic, the canal lined with the houses looks great. The rail line behind the houses is very common in and around Toronto, very realistic.
Robin
That earthern embankment is great, M_d. Is that a custom lot you've done with a texture, or what?
Inquiring minds and all that.
David
Too bad that you lost pics. As for the mosaic &apls &apls I love it . Great canal use. And the new walls also.
I absolutely love this mosaic , just perfect ...( maybe would have been more than perfect $%Grinno$% with a boat on canal ... and your wonderful train I use in AntiGone coming through on railways ...) :P
&apls
wonderful mosaic! great work!
iamgoingtoeatyou: yes, those Amsterdam BATs are indeed amazing. I also loved how you used them.
Heinz: thank, i will continue Aspire, at my usual slow pace of course ;)
rooker1: Thanks.
dedgren: Do you mean these lots by mas71 Found Here (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=17875) ?
kimcar: Thanks, i love those new walls.
Badsim: Thanks, as for making it more perfect; the only boat i have for oppies canals, is a touristy boat which i felt didn't really fit. As for the train, i can never get any trains, as i always build my cities as Eye Candy. In this new picture, i actually used the U-drive it mode to get the train to appear. and removed the annoying green diamond in Photoshop.
bat: Thanks for your comment.
Heres a new update, after i finally found my CJ in this new system :P
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi123.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo292%2Fmjig_dudy%2Fz-2.jpg&hash=9134a6890a9a8cb597ea36b78e7b0d20b66d2096) (http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o292/mjig_dudy/z.jpg)
m_d- Thanks so much for the tip on the embankment lots. I really enjoyed the nighttime shot- it's a great combination of custom content stuff.
...bet the folks in those high rises are a hard sell on season tickets...
Thanks for the update!
David
that's a nice shot! i like the speeding train and the cars racing along with it. the stadium, too!
and your "usual slow pace" will be ok as long as it keeps on going :P
Great picture, lots of different kinds of rail. I love it.
Robin ;D
Amazing detail level there. I see you're using ITS' excellent new set of buildings - and very well,I must add.
-aaron
Ooohhh... that IS a nice picture. Good development and BREATHTAKING picture editing. &apls &apls &apls
wonderful work! fantastic mosaic at night!
Looking forward to more!
&apls fantastic night shot. There is such a great mix of detail- I wanna see more! &hlp
dedgren: thanks very much :)
Heinz: Thanks, and as you see in the time since my last update, i'm keeping up my usual slow pace ;)
rooker1: Thanks
pickled_pig: Yeah, The ITS Explosion on the STEX was the inspiration for that city ;)
emilin: Thanks for the compliments, my editing isn't really all that much, i just adjusted brightness, contrast ect.
bat: Thanks ;)
EDGE4194: Thanks, and heres some more ;)
A rural-ish picture here. making use of the RHW, as always.

The purple glow , the RHW bridge and traffic make this a very sexy picture :satisfied:
just beautyful ! Love the canal pic, love the sunset pics , love all !!

I just went through all your pictures and I must say that they are absolutely fantastic! I love when you combine all the different transportation networks, especially the HSR and RHW. It's amazing! I'll definitely be back to see what else you have going on! Great job!
that picture of the chemical complex is awesome!

A few military pictures for you today, theres a bit of 'story' behind these pictures, if you are interested, have a look at mine and Krio's CJ at ST.
These wonderful SNM lots have been around for quite while now, and i actually downloaded them awhile back, but then i didn't grab all the dependencies i needed, so i went back i got everything i needed, and built myself some nice military scenes:

Great using of the SNM lots! Wonderful pictures!
I love the paratroopers! The whole military setting looks outstanding. I can't wait to see more of your work!
A few more comments and this great MD will become a Classic- and that will be well-deserved.
You've really captured (Oooh, unintended pun!) the organized but ultimately empty ambience of a military installation in the mosaic. I did my 20(+) way back in another lifetime, your images took me right back. What are the logs doing in pic 3, though?
Always a treat to visit Aspire!
David

Turned out "all right?" It turned out much better than all right, if you ask me! Beautiful shot, mjig_dudy! Simply beautiful! It's so realistic, when I look at it, I think I'm in the South Pacific! Great job, my friend!

Sorry to come back to this mosaic , my favorite from the 3 last updates ... because it perfectely illustrate how a well known BAT (the church) can always surprise us (me at least) ::) ... Excellent !
Great work with this tropical theme too , It's just a pity that the Sorchin's underwater rocks are so distinctly cut . :P
That is the best! Aww man that's mouth wateringly-good! :D :D
The army and tropical mosaics are really well done . Great work &apls &apls
bat: Thanks very much ;D

Owen Luby: Thanks very much ;D
kimcar: Thanks ;D
I've actually started a new CJ at Simtropolis, which wont be all diffrent mosaics, what i think i will do is keep this CJ open, and post stuff from my CJ now and then, but also other stuff as i will sometimes still go back and make so one-off mosaic cities.
Here is a mosaic from my new CJ.

That are great two mosaics! Also the pictures at night are looking fantastic!
Great work!
Great mosaic, great pictues and great city layout. In the first mosaic, where did you get that trian station and that under ground tunnel entrance? Both look fantastic! Waht ever help you can give would be appreciated, thank in advance.
Robin
Those mosaics are outstanding, my friend! I love the use of the diagonal buildings, and those avenue underpasses are great, too! I don't think I've ever seen those before. Keep up the good work!
Hello mjig_dudy ,
I have no idea about how big is your plugin folder , but here is another impressive collection of BATs ... and stunning use of them . As always , I love the complexity of your roads/avenues network (even if , if you were less impatient you would take time to drag them again to correct a few visible defects ::) ) .
All this learnedly orchestrated disorder is finally very realistic , (You would be a killer with a good LotEditing ;) but I know that your pleasure is elsewhere :P) . I enjoy particularly that kind of details like this garbage in the center of the avenue at the entrance of the underpass ...
what a great update. i especially like the night pics. great detail as usual in your work.
Wonderful mosaic
Bravo &apls
+1 Awesome mosaic. :) I particularly like the roundabout in front of the rail station
Sounds like someone found xiziz's mod useful besides me :P
bat: Thanks for commenting
rooker1: The station is Ill tonkso's [click here (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=18184)]. The underground entrance is Glenni's [click here (http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=17229)].
thundercrack83: Thanks for the comment, i do trya nd use diagonals as much as i can, but there aren't that many around. At least, not until Prepo releases all of his :P
Badsim: My plugins folder is actually quite small as I had a lot of junk in it, and so ditched the whole lot into some other folder and have started building it up again. I see those defects you mention now thing often show up to me later what i could have done better, but by that time io'm not going to through starting simcity up again to fix it :P
EDGE4194: Thanks for stopping by ;D
Snaper: Thanks
Pikatchoum: Thanks also ;D

Outstanding, as always, my friend! I love that train station, and that building with the elevated rail going through it is great, too! Where can I find that?
Outstanding once again and thanks for the links. The only problem I see is there are only three pictures, lol. Please I need more.
Great work.
Robin
Extremly nice night lightning! Extremly nice! &apls

rooker1: thanks very much, I don't play all that much simcity any ore these days, which makes it kinda difficult to get a large amount of picture, unless you want 5 pictures of the exact same thing :P
emilin: Thanks very much ;D

Your industries are very realistic looking, my friend! Splendid job, as always!
Awesome pictures. Very realsitic and I love the first one. Where did you get that round a bout under pass thingy and does it function properly? Wow......
Robin &apls
wow-ing ,the industrial pics are outstanding ! the fence, truck road, there're so much things !! I'm lovin' it ^^
Great pictures of that industrial area!
TheTeaCat: Thank you, i do try to go for realism, but the credit goes to all those Batters Modders and Lotters, becuase this wouldn't be anything with them.
thundercrack83: Thanks :) again, without those awesome batters it wouldn't be anything. Just imagine that with maxis industries

Great update, I really like this view because you can see so much more and yet the details are also still visible. Your city look very nicely laid out. Good use of diagonal transit and buildings. Sometimes it's very herd to make this look good, but you have done a very nice job.
Robin
rooker1: Thanks, it took me a while to get the hang of those diagonals, they kept blocking my roads $%Grinno$%
a good ol' mosaic today ;D

Fantastic pictures, mjig_dudy! Great work on the Navy base! Also a wonderful mosaic from the last update!
Amazing work, as always, mjig_dudy. Your magnificent use of Photoshop is surpassed only by your talent for playing the game! And I'm not 100% positive, but I pretty sure that I voted for that last picture in the photo competition!
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o292/mjig_dudy/08.jpg
There's a guy in a wheelchair on the right lane. :P
Excellent updates as always. I'm particularly fond of that abandoned navy base. It reeks of loneliness and the grey layer is the icing on the cake. &apls
thought i would pop by and reply to the comments, as there hasn't been much activity from me lately.
bat: thanks for commenting, as always :D
thundercrack83: You may well have done, I used that in another in my line of failed attempts in the harsh world SC4D picture competition.
Eddie: :D thanks. Can't go wrong with some dirtying up in the ol' photoshop.
As to post some form of update, i will give a quick run down as to what i am currently doing,
I felt there was something missing for SC4, some nice viaducts. I bring this up now because it is something that is very common in northern england, where my current city is based.
Something like this, for example
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm1.static.flickr.com%2F29%2F55926877_e73b7f488c_b.jpg&hash=655d0a55bb18cc047071fb6127f56e8778de066a)
so anyway, after a few days battling with the BAT and my extremely slow computer, I came up with this.
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi123.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo292%2Fmjig_dudy%2FUntitled-3copy-1.jpg&hash=fadaecf757db9cefba7bf949f4a75ab710f79ec5) (http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o292/mjig_dudy/Untitled-3copy-1.jpg)
As i plan to make it pure eyecandy, so it can overhang, i batted the train in with it.
So, now all that leaves for me to do is find a few years in which to render it, and then hopefully i can post a nice update, complete with viaduct.
WOW! That is amazing, mjig_dudy! I can't wait to see you use it in game! Keep up the fantastic work!
&apls Super job on this bridge . this is gonna be a must to have .
Once I get my 3ds (gmax isn't working) I'd be happy to render it for you :)
That bridge is looking great! Wonderful work!
That viaduct looks awesome. And the RL pic is very nice as well. I see all the people hanging out the windows to take pictures. Very cool.
Robin
An update! ???

:o awesome return!
Yes, a wonderful return there! And that mosaic is looking fantastic! Great work on it!
The viaduct farther up the page, would you like me to render it? Though I'd take out the train model, the Acela isn't fitting for such a viaduct. I can probably find time over a night or something.
That viaduct is amazing! You should talk to the NAM team and see if they can get it to be a functional puzzle piece!
Krio: Thanks ;D
bat: thanks for stopping by.
Yoman: I've uploaded the gmax file for you to do whatever you like with http://www.box.net/shared/e3k9oheccg (http://www.box.net/shared/e3k9oheccg). However, I longer have the textures, so you will have re-texture it.
Toichus Maximus: That wouldn't be possible, because it would span uneven ground, making pathing impossible.
Update:

Gotta love the use of diagonals, and the new elevated heavy rail pieces. I can imagine sitting in that train watching houses go by. Excellent use of canals also.
Great looking city there. The mish mashed streets look great, very build as you go along-ish. I do have to inquire about that rail-to-subway transition in the rail bridge pic. Might you have a link to it? Later.
Oooh mjig, almost perfect pictures &apls only few things are missing: graters and my bats $%#Ninj2
