So here's the deal. I got me a small town. No neighbours no nothing. Just this town. There is a small comunity with no IQ smarter then 50. As i see it there is no possibility that there could be a demand for I-HT. Any idea's what's going on? I got no education mod running or anything.

Demand
It would help if you had RippleJet's Census Repository vers. 2 (http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=41&threadid=84816), as it shows the actual drives. This may help get to the root of the issue.
ah ok .. let's install this baby and see what is says.
strange there arn't that many ppl demanding I-HT.

Census Repository Facility
You don't have any IHT growing, so this is probably just something you need to play out for a bit. It's probably a few R$$'s that are demanding the IHT.
DutcHmaNinc: can I suggest you get wouanagaine's Clip2Pic (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1462) from the LEX so you can just take images of the information you want to show. Even on a fast connection I am experiencing very slow viewing of your big images.
i got clip 2 pic. But i got 2 monitors. So i got to cut the pictures anyways, cos my 2nd monitor isn't that interesting :). Nxt time i'll make the pictures smaller. thx for the quick reply's and i'll play the map for a little while and see if i can develop some I-HT.
I'm not an expert at this but here is my best answer.
Looking at your picture I see a good number of R$$ homes and CS$$ buildings. I also note in the census snap that there are 2,000+ R$$ Sims living in your community. Now have a look at the Work Force drives chart in This Thread (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=1878.0). You will see that R$$ Sims who have an education level of 0 through 100 will not want to work in I-HT. But it appears to me that there are a small number of educated Sims in your city as there is a small amount of demand for I-HT. 38% of Sims that have an education of 100-150 would work in I-HT industries if those jobs were available. The actual jobs are not there at the present time. Be sure that as your workforce becomes more education that an I-HT will probably pop up. And the drive behind that will be the high school, I think. The education graph is an average indicator. Some will be higher and some lower.
I must say I enjoy being in Brazil and seeing xxdita take command here!
I'll just chime in and say that the graphs presented in the game are not linear.
The tics on the vertical axis are correct only for -6000, 0 and 24000.
Otherwise you will notice that the graph is in fact logarithmic.
Any demand value read from the Census Repository Facility gives a much larger reading in the graph.
E.g. a true demand of 12,000 shows as 18,000 in the graph,
and a demand of a few hundreds shows up as thousands.
Now, back to the Brazilian sun, samba and caipirinhas... ;D
yeah i kinda figured the RCI meter is a bit off. Gonne put my trust in the Census Repository instead of the RCI now.

ALT-PRINTSCREEN capture the active window only whereas PRINTSCREEN capture the whole desktop. This is a Windows behavior, not clip2pic btw

ah cool i didn't know that.
another question:
The RCI meter is that based on the Drives or Demand? Cos i dont see any Demand for the CS§ CS§§ and CS§§§ on the repository.
I've been playing the map for a little while now. and added a new town to the south. Now my CS§ drives is through the roof. But there is no demand? So what's best to do? Take a whole area and fill it with lo-dence commercial? (They tend to fill up with medium wealth pretty quick though)
Or just keep on going and just let those sims "drives" all they want.
The RCI meter is based on demand. But demand is based on drives to an extent. So, yes. ???
If you take a look at this thread (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=1878.0) you'll see that the WF drives are all over 100%, to quote RippleJet in that thread, "The total of each row is between 140% and 165%, telling you that people can accept more than one type of occupation."
Lower wealth RCI has the lowest chance of growing if conditions are right for a higher wealth to grow instead (demand, caps, etc). So you can take measures to prevent higher wealths from growing by setting up the area to be the kind of area a C$ would be found in. No fire protection, no parks, etc. Basically, a slum. You can check your Desirability Data Views before zoning to get a fairly good picture of which wealth level would grow in a new zone.
