I just downloaded the CAM and am LOVING IT!!! One problem though I set my foot traffic to the bike option and I feel that promotes a little TOO much pedestrian traffic.
1. My question is (it is probably mentioned in the readme file but I can not locate it on my computer) do I have to reinstall the CAM to change the foot traffic option and if I do or do not, will my current cities become a mess from changing options.
2. I have the CAM I45 industrial pack and am 90% for sure I have downloaded the dependencies but I get a brown box for the Acme Pencils building and it is the only one of the set of 6 that I have noticed (I have seen SG Autos, Perkins Furniture and Hudson Glass in my cities). Does anyone know which file I am missing?
3. Dependencies are always an issue but the list that has been compiled here HELPS A TON! Does anyone have a good way of keeping up with the dependencies they have downloaded so when they go to download new content they can say "already have those"?
Sorry for a three question post, just getting use to the feel of SC4 Devotions
Question 1: I don't think changing the options will make a mess of your cities but I would prefer to see jplumbley asnwer this definitively ;D
Question 2: This has been reported and as far as I am aware the problem had been solved. I will check but you could also look through the CAM queries thread in the CAM Forum as you may find the answer before I do.
Question 3: If you look at the Left hand side bar in the LEX you will see Download History. This will show you all that you have downloaded with a red or green block at the side. If the block is red it means that there has been an update since you downloaded. If you have downloaded a great deal the list will be long :D
We are hopeful that in the not too distant future Colyn's RL problems will allow him to fine tune the LEX and include a dependency scanner that will check your downloads from the LEX to see if you have downloaded any required dependencies. Until that time, however, I suggest you keep your downloaded zips in a special folder so you can manually check if you have any required packs.
BarbyW,
Thanks for the reply
The only references I can find to the Acme Pencil download give this as the LEX reference:
