I have a region that is 12 x 12 large city tiles and was wondering is there any easy way to take a picture of the entire region? The only thing I can think of is taking several pictures of the region and then tiling them together (like a mosaic type picture) to create the full region. That seems like a ton of work and I was wondering is there any other way to accomplish this.
Use Sawtooth's Region Census (http://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=913), it is very handy
That appears to be a really big help, only problem is when I try to extract it I get an error message after about fourth of the way: "File skipped unknown compression method." Do you know anything about this wouanagaine or should I send a message to Sawtooth?
you shuold redownload it, it's maybe a corrupted download . I've just redownloaded it and everything is ok
Thanks for the help wouanagaine but still no luck. I tried downloading it three times with IE and then I thought maybe the problem was with the browser so I tried using Firefox but the same result happens when I try to extract all from the zipped folder.
Are you using winzip or WinRAR? It seems if the compression type is the problem, the program you're using to extract must be unable to handle it.
^^ i have winzip and i received an error message initially when i tried to extract the file so i just left the zip uninstalled in a file folder. then when i opened the folder just now, the set up exe is there and i was able to install the file... &mmm
i dunno if this helps :-[
Thanks for the comments Toichus Maximus and Anthony. I think I have winzip and I get the zip error after about three to four status bars have passed. After about four unsuccessful tries I did notice that I had an installer on my computer and gave it a go. I have the program and I have been able to take regional shots and some other options but the other two files were not unzipped. I do not know if that is going to cause problems or not but seems to be working fine.
