P. S. If you don't have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or anything like that, but you still want a photo-editing program, I suggest The GNU Image Manipulation Program, or "The GIMP." It's totally free, and it's actually pretty powerful (it's what I used to make those photos). You can get it by clicking right here (http://www.download.com/The-GIMP/3000-2192_4-10635470.html?tag=lst-0-1). You have to download the GTK+ Runtime Environment first (it's further down on that same page)!

Rayden: Whoa! :o How did you do that? And how long did it take? Those pictures look amazing! I especially love that fourth one (the one with the street bridge). I've been trying to figure out if I could do that for a little while, now (with not much success...()sad()). Hmmm...time to get experimenting again. I'll post some more stuff up one day...

urban: Nice pictures! The one with the blue-ish tint looks so realistic! Like an arial picture you might see in a textbook. I guess I always underestimated just putting a tint to pictures, but they really work in your pictures!

It is certainly no crime to post an image twice (as long as it fits all the places you put it) it takes enough time to make a good one (or any one for that matter) that you want to get as much mileage out of it as possible. It's a very nice image. I'm not sure if it altered in any way, but (in my opinion) it has a certain artisitc quality to it. Well done.

A local sim recently passed his private pilots licence and invited me up in his cessena to have a look at the town from above. I readily accepted, grabbed my camera and soon we were airborne. Unfortunately only one photo got taken and here it is ;)

Incredibly well done. It's a bad sign when fire is shooting out of the water pipes (but then again, the low water level is probably what triggered the meltdown). I also like how the bridge supports are more exposed. The whole pic is well thought out. Excellent.

I'm not sure about photoshopping... however, trees look very interesting.
But I must say you have a nice couple of buildings here, your downtown looks very well planned (I like avenues)

Thanks to all for the nice comments, tcx, bat. masochist, that rollercoaster scene looks like it was a nice mild summer day, good amusement park weather, and *yawn* to the second pic. Getting my bridge level wasn't awfully hard with the bridge height mod. GMT, that is a lotta impressive shiny mechanical stuff, with a nice little park in the middle, cool. urban, nice watercolor effect for the beach, Shadow, yours did really well in the contest, congrats, it's very dramatic. mikjim, I think I agree with Ennedi, that is a great city without any touch up. jonoboo, love the glare off the dam face, seems like a sunset glow that affects the rocks nicely as well. Darn those floaty trees!

very nice pic, but I think you went a bit too far with the focus-blur. It seems like the hill should be more in the center of the pic for that effect to be at its highest effectiveness.

However, this is only the first image I've taken for my upcoming CJ that'll come sometime by the end of the month. Some of the revisions I've made including adding proper (but sloppy) shadows, revise some roads and brighten the image.
And by the way, this image isn't completely done yet (traffic, extra effects)

In case you didnt notice, look at the diagonal road intersections. I added right turn lanes in MS Paint.

There's really not much effects here. Effects come from windows movie maker. youtube kind'a made the effects not so visible except for the grayscale effect.

Nice edited picture there j-dub! The middle lane at the top of the avenue isn't real, perhaps the branches next to the street aren't real, too (I'm not sure about that)... all other things could be real...
Well since there are no more guesses. The middle lane was there, but the paint over the middle lane had been altered with adding a turn arrow minus the cement and traffic light in the middle. The slip lanes with the functioning signals are real. The branch is there via an exemplar 21 tree

You're gonna have to get a photobucket account to store your pictures, but you can actually create an account for posting pictures anywhere. You can try deviantart if you want. Not many pics there. Post your pics, then right-click on properties and copy the picture link. Mostly, people here use Imageshack or Photobucket, but posting pictures here work by copying the link of the photo from the website.

An admissions flyer for the state college in my newest town, Yameca Beach (pop. 18,095). YB is in a completely different region from Austin and other cities I've shown; it's the largest city in that region. I designed the non-SC4 elements of this flyer as well.

excellent pics republic, although I dont think I like the second one's photoshopping, not sure what this is supposed to represent (Car Lights?) If so I think ... I dont know it just doesnt look right to me
Art usually is a matter of opinion, car lights is how I immediately identified it, maybe you expected the car lights to be more straight, but the truth is, there not going to be perfectly that way, unless everyone has the same car, and drives exactly single file, and perfectly through the turn like everyone else.

There is actually a house down the street from me that comes close, but my real inspiration came from the movie 'Christmas Vacation' with Chevy Chase.
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it... one of the best Christmas comedy movies of all time. (not exactly kid friendly though).
