Hi guys,
Finally got a bit of playing time today and was building a harbour using the brilliant WIMPs set when I came across this with the fireboat pier:

Yep, the fireboat is sinking!!! From another angle:

Any thoughts on this and how to fix it?
Cheers,
Fred
I would believe, from my experience, that you need to level the land before plopping the lot. ;) Hope that helps. :)
EDIT: And also, the land you're plopping on can't be too low, or else the lot can sink into the water. ::)
The land is completely level and is at harbour height - I did it in SC4TF. Surely the lot is designed for this height?
Fred
Hmm, I wouldn't know what's wrong then. I have experienced this problem before, (albeit with different lots) and raising the land seemed to fix it.
Sorry I couldn't help. ;) Hope you get this figured out.
Well from what I see the rest of wharf is at one level then it slopes down at the fireboat pier. I am not sure if the lot does that or not but that can be fixing it. Or just raising the land right there so its at the same level as the rest of the wharf
It isn't sinking, it's shipping water for putting out fires $%Grinno$% I'll have a look at this and see if I can see what is wrong
I suspect the sinking ship is because the water is too deep. I plopped it in a harbour with a shallower water and no sinking ships. Many of the waterfront lots are very finicky about water depth so try just raising the sea bed a little.
